When I was a teenager I went to the Grafton Baptist Church in Grafton, Virginia. At the end of Sunday School we always recited this verse which has stayed with me all my life.

Let the words of my mouth and the mediation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight oh Lord, my strength and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14

The scripture seems to reach the depths of my soul. If we fulfill it, we please God and glorify Him. Awesome! Thank you. God bless you today.

Hello Bernideen! I love your post, and also seeing the little New Testament in your photo - it reminds me of my first little white New Testament, received as a child - I now display it in one of my curio cabinets with a very favorite little framed picture of Jesus that was kept on the dresser in my childhood bedroom. Also part of that vignette is a small porcelain planter in the shape of the open Bible, as well as a vintage Sunday School card used by my grandmother (probably around the 40s) as part of her class lesson. Thank you for your post and for the precious memories of a time when I truly came to the Lord with the faith of a child. Hugs, Sharon

Such a lovely scripture Bernideen. I want to thank you for your many visits and comments to my blog when I haven't been as faithful about checking in with everyone this summer. It means so much to me. I love you blog and we have been fellow blogger for quite sometime now, heh?
Lovely photo and lovely lady.
I know God will bless you in a very special way this week.
