GETTING READY FOR VIOLETS

I thought I would do my part to encourage
spring by getting out all my violet bone
 china pieces and trying
to encourage things.

For one thing I like to go walk around
my neighborhood every day and this
winter hasn't been too good for that
situation.

I was able to get out twice this week and
did notice some bulbs just barely
popping up in various yards including
my own.

I won't be wearing these
on my feet.  I hope you
have had a lovely day
and ready for your new week!

  2. Your beautiful violet themed pieces are lovely, Bernideen. Something so delicate, but yet regal about violets. The best I can do is grow Africian violets.

those walks! I especially like the look of your square tea cup!
Lets hope for a kind Spring and daffodils soon.

  7. Your violet collection is lovely! I adore sweet little violets. I have a few wild ones that come up in my garden and I just let them be and hope they return each spring.

  8. I love your hutch and it's the perfect place to showcase your seasonal china. Violets are so pretty. I brought mine out for tea this week too because the February teacups will be going back in the cabinet in a couple of days. Your paper slippers are very sweet hanging on your hutch. We are expecting a snow storm this afternoon so I'm making my visits now, just in case. Enjoy the rest of February, and a Happy belated Birthday, Bernideen!

  9. So beautiful, Bernideen! This has inspired me to get out my mother's violet teapot and my grandmother's violet teacup and plate when I have tea and Devonshire Splits this afternoon.
