This recipe is from a life long friend - Lou Ann!
This morning there was either enough time to go the YMCA and work out - or bake cookies. You see I baked cookies!
Nothing makes a house smell better than cookies! And this recipe below - makes 24 large "mall size" cookies.
I think this is a great recipe to make with children. Here is what you will need:
In a large bowl mix:1 cup brown sugar, 3 cups, oatmeal, 1 Tsp salt, 1 Tsp baking powder, 1 cup white sugar, 2 cups flour, 1 Tsp baking soda and in a separate bowl mix 1 cup melted butter, 1 Tsp vanilla and 2 eggs. Add: 1 cup raisins
Mix dry ingredients and raisins. Shape into small balls and press down on cookie sheet. 350 degrees 8-10 minutes Don't overbake -cookies are chewy!
I probably made medium size balls and mine were definitely larger. This recipe made 24 large cookies.
