A recent ride up in the
mountains provided photos for Mosaic Monday

We weren't the only ones headed that way:

and sadly - some views of the Waldo Canyon Fire
destruction below:

The autumn golds on the trees is pretty. How sad when you see all the burned trees and land, not to mention the wildlife that lost their homes.
Do new trees get planted after such devastation?

You've taken some wonderful photos for your mosaics. It really is hard to see the fires that have destroyed the trees. You sure have some beautiful mountains in your part of the country! Hugs!

Hello Bernideen, my first stop at your blog. What a wonderful collection of photos. Makes my heart sad to see the destruction. We have knobs in Kentucky no mountains.

It's always sad when forest fire destroys part of our forest. We so enjoyed the forests and country side on the western slope of Colorado earlier this year.

Hopefully nature will refurbish the forest over the years; a very scarey time for those involved.
Loved the trip up the mountain, though, XOXO

Enjoyed seeing the new photos, and I appreciate seeing a reminder of those who lost homes in the wildfires.
