Did you know the 1998 Hallmark version of The Secret Garden was totally filmed at Highclere Castle?  We rewatched it last night  and my husband said "that's Highclere Castle Bernideen" and then we looked at the end of the movie for the credits and sure enough - there it was!  The walled garden was there - will they ever show us that in future seasons of Downton Abbey?  If you have children, The Secret Garden is a wonderful story for the family.

I had a lovely Lemon Pound Cake in the oven all during the movie last night......I have made this before on my blog.  The recipe is right HERE.  The ingredients in this cake are probably in your kitchen right now.

I am inviting other bloggers to join me by posting anything about home, garden, sewing, crafting, floral, cooking, tea, etc. Some of you in warmer areas have your gardens up and going.  This is Thursday which means OPEN HOUSE IS HERE!  Join in the fun and link below!  I am asking you to have a link on your post to this post.

I am also linking to some blogging friends: HOME and Home and Garden Thursday and Foodie Friday and Cottage Style Party

What a lovely lemon pound cake! Thank you for letting me know that about The Secret Garden. I plan to watch it again. I've wondered why we never see any gardens on Downton Abbey!!

I have the Hallmark Secret Garden movie, but haven't watched it in a long time. I'm going to be recuperating from some surgery next week, so it'll be the perfect time to watch it again.
Your lemon cake looks absolutely delicious!

I just watched the really old Secret Garden with my neice when she spent the night a few weeks ago - sure enjoyed it,. Now I absolutely must see this newer version to see Highclere Castle, how neat is that?

Your hubs was very observant, and deserves a second slice of that amazing delicious cake.

I am going to try your version soon, it's one of my hubs only desserts he likes to I make a lot of lemon things - yours looks so much more yummy than what I come up with!

I can just imagine how delicious and fragrant this cake is! Lovely - I'll have to find this version of The Secret Garden - we have our favorite - but, just to see the castle in it would be marvelous! I do appreciate you sharing with Home and Garden Thursday,
