I guess I should say pansies and TULIPS inside.  It's Saturday and snowing like crazy.  Inside by the window - a lovely view and a place to have a cup of tea!  Sit here and relax and I will pour our cups of tea!  By the way, this is really a coffee pot but we don't care - we can have tea in it too!

This weekend is Palm Sunday - a time to celebrate and remember!  We remember that the Gospels (the 1st 4 books of the New Testament) tell us that Jesus came into Jerusalem riding on a donkey and the people waved their palms shouting Hosanna - Hosanna.  This had been prophesied in the Old Testament. (Zechariah 9:9)  His time was drawing near....the cross was awaiting him.  God's plan for the world was that He "so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life".

Late note:  The coffee set below was sold at my shop:

On a Hill far way stood an old rugged cross
The emblem of suffering and shame
And I love that old cross
where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain.

The Old Rugged Cross
George Bennard

So I'll cherish the old rugged cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old rugged cross.....

And exchange it someday for a crown.

A beautiful tea tbale with lovely china and purples. The crocheted tablecloth is gorgeous, too! Yes, this weekend is Palm Sunday, our sweet Jesus walked into Jerusalem..and everything you said after is NEAR..His sacrifice for human kind. Thank you Bernideen for such lovely and sentimental made me cry, as sad days for our Jesus Christ are approaching and we need to pray for Him and for the world. Big hugs,

What a touching and thought provoking post. The sentiment makes one stop and ponder the enormity of the gift we were given. Welcoming table...nice crochet. The snow outside is a novelty to me; outside our windows are swaying palm trees and hummingbirds buzzing about the feeder. Enjoy this special Holy season- hugs

Bernideen- What a beautiful post. Your tulips are beautiful and so is your table setting. The Old Rugged Cross was my Dad's favorite hymn and was played at his funeral, unbeknownst to me, they just played it at my brother's funeral. It was really emotional because it is not a song you hear sung in churches here anymore- xo Diana

Beautiful pansies! It's a good thing I didn't plant any outside yet as they'd be buried under 3 feet of snow. Can't open my back door so I know some shoveling needs to happen! Hope all that moisture gets my grass and pasture green soon. Have a blessed Holy Week.♥♫

Love the sunny window with the pretty table and chairs! We are having a cold spell after a warm week. Your purple pansy set is so lovely and your cloths with the lace and edging are the perfect touch. Great thoughts and the Old Rugged Cross song is wonderful for this spiritual season. Pretty Pink Tulips and hope you and your husband are well!
