JUNE IS SO LOVELY for "Tea In The Garden"

Welcome to "Tea In The Garden":

It seems like Monday morning came awfully fast.  It is a beautiful day and I hope it will be a wonderful week for everyone!  I picked a few blooms for a bouquet and the sage smells delightful.

In the spirit of my "baskets" theme I am sharing some fun old embroidered linens:

Over the weekend I baked some Apricot Turnovers which are very easy to make so if you want the see how just click HERE.

We have been fortunate this year as the hail that has fallen numerous times in the city hasn't been big at my house.  Across town golf ball sized hail took out windshields on cars but thankfully ours hasn't been too big.

Have I forgotten to say "Do pour yourself a cup of lovely hot tea"?  Left to right the hand painted cups and saucers are a "Salisbury" Pansy and "Bell" China and both of English Bone China.  The Teapot is a Windsor English Teapot.  I am fond of handpainted tea cups rather than decals but have both.

I have a little poem from 365 Things Every Tea Lover Should Know:
If your tongue trips over "oolong" and there's
 no place for your spoon,
If you end up with your cookie on your knee
If dainty conversation leaves you speechless far too soon,
You need some help surviving Ladies Tea.
from Afternoon Tea at Pittock Mansion

And I do hope you will join me if you are a blogger and share a post from your blog about tea by linking here at the bottom.  I will be sharing this post with these other blog parties:

What a lovely backdrop for tea! I love the embroidered flower baskets. My husband bought me a watch/locket that's face is covered with a flower basket like these! Always a joy to visit and your photography is wonderful.

Dear Bernideen,
thank you so much for your sweet comment about the cats and for ecouraging me to join your wonderful party. The only difficuties to survive your wonderful tea party is not to eat too much of your wonderful apricot turnover. It looks so good. Thank you for sharing the lovely party and for hosting this sweet event.
Best greetings, Johanna

Your tea is just lovely, Bernideen. Love the basket of flowers! The linens and teaware, gorgeous! I tried to leave a comment earlier and it wouldn't go on so I left it and came back. Had my company for tea in the meantime. Your setting really is beautiful. Thank you for hosting and joining me for tea too. Enjoy your day.

I love your basket-themed linens ... and that reminds me that I've been meaning to bring order to my own linen closet soon. Can't wait to see what treasures I've forgotten about and hope they're half as pretty as some of yours!

Love all the embroidered baskets on the linens! Such a lovely tea setting. I have heard of big hail, but the largest we have seen is dime sized. Glad you didn't get the bigger storm! Cute tea quote too! Thanks for hosting! And for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

Those flowers are so striking, especially with how the teapot and teacups match the colors. This is a lovely tea table. I'm going to have to follow the link to those delicious looking turnovers! I really liked how you served them on top of a doily covered cake stand. So pretty :)
