RAINY DAY TEA IN THE KITCHEN

Today is Tuesday which means it is time for "Tea In The Garden".  One look out the window this morning told me that it wouldn't be a good idea today.  Rain seems to be in the forecast so I have set out a teacup for you here in the kitchen on the buffet:

I hope you don't mind being in the kitchen for a quick cup of tea this  morning.  As always, it seems summer is going by so fast.  Our world is in such turmoil I cup of tea will be a welcoming calm 

I am sharing my three Sadler teapots in various shapes and sizes but all with rosebuds.

I am in a Facebook Group called Afternoon Tea Across America. We have been experiencing more rain than usual in Colorado and I must say a mosquito was pursuing me the whole time I took these pictures which is unusual. 

 We are so glad that our pattern of wildfires 

aren't happening.

Today I am sharing two hand painted cups and saucers: a Bell China Company and a Salisbury one.

I recently found this sweet purple topper which someone

 embroidered as a real labor of love.

It's July and welcome to "Tea In The Garden":

This morning the skies were overcast.  We have had a lot of rain lately which has been unusual for us. 
 My garden likes it but of course it is concerning 
because of the Waldo Canyon Burn scar.  On the 4th day of rain it did bring down some of my tallest delphiniums.

  Some flooding has occurred over near the mountains. 

I am very fond of Queen Anne's Lace

although yes, I do know it is considered

a weed and in the carrot family!

Have yourself some tea and sit here

while we chat a bit.
