FOURTH OF JULY PATRIOTIC for "Tea In The Garden"

Today we are in the garden and we
are celebrating and appreciating
the freedoms we so enjoy here in
America.

I have a few collectible teapots
that celebrate our Independence
and the beloved George Washington.

Today, most Americans do not want to
 live under Socialism or Communism.
We know there has been a tremendous
effort to convince our youth that
 Socialism would be wonderful.  No,
we do not want it.  We pray the eyes of those who have been deceived will
 be opened.

It just happens that I was born in
Hampton, Virginia and graduated
from York High School at Yorktown
so history was everywhere where I
grew up.  We were also
able to attend the Bicentennial
 Celebration in
1976.

This fabric was an old piece of
historic toile I found on ebay.

We are a Constitutional Republic and are born with certain inalienable
 rights.
We do not want them taken away.

THE HOLLYHOCKS ARE WINDING DOWN for "Tea In The Garden"

This year the hollyhocks in one
area are peach colored.  I have
numerous color combinations and
they all are blooming quickly.

Our mail lady gave us a couple of
big zucchinis so I made some
Cream Cheese Walnut Zucchini
Bars which are always enjoyed.

I love this sweet butterfly quilt.

We have been experiencing hot
weather and no rain.  Our front
lawn is fried (south) but I plan to
water in the back as the new grass
will not survive without rain or
at least watering.  How is your
weather?

There are 2 large bunnies that hang out in our
back yard.  I was never one to put
chicken wire over things in the garden
but I have this year in several places.

LADY MADELINE & LORD CHUMLEY for "Tea In The Garden"

Time is doing what it does best and
that means it is flying along.

Today I set up a little "Tea In
The Garden" with my new
musical teapot.  I have been
looking at these 1950's teapot
for a while and finally found
one at a really good price.

There is a music box on the bottom
of the teapot which plays
"Tea For Two".

It was a beautiful day today but we
do know hotter weather is coming.

As I was out setting this little tea
table up, the birds were very unhappy
with me.

I hope you have time for
a cup of tea:

BUNNIES, SQUIRRELS AND BLUEBIRDS

We have had an endless succession
 of bunnies, squirrels and
bluebirds here in our yard
this spring (almost summer).
We certainly do enjoy
watching them.

Mr. and Mrs. Bluebird have now
hatched a second family down
in the blue birdhouse so they
are spending a lot of time feeding
them.  The earlier siblings are
all still hanging around too.

JUNE IN THE GARDEN

 When June comes the garden
has left spring flowers behind
and as the temps rise, everything
changes in the garden.

Our state is officially in
a drought which is very
concerning.

I love Silver
Artemisia
for my bouquets:

We have spent the last 2 days
getting ready for our subdivision
yard sale.  This is not my
favorite thing to do.

We have this Lunaria money plant
every year but the bank never wants
 to exchange the
coins for us:

I hope your weekend
is a delight!
