SPRINGTIME JUST AHEAD IN THE GARDEN

I have started the process of hoeing those
naughty ground cover weeds out of the
flower beds in the backyard.  I think
I am now half way across the back.
 Common weeds here are Veronica
 Speedwell, Chickweed and
purple Dead Nettle.

I want to share a few YouTube
 Videos
I have come across.

an amazing channel.  This young
man is super talented with his garden,
home and an artist too!

Another channel features a young
woman in East Yorkshire, England
who grows cutting flowers and this
 is her channel:

I thought this was a wonderful idea
she shared for those who have an
abundance of garden flowers you
can sell them in your own Honesty

You will see many other helpful
videos she shares.

INSPIRING GARDENS OF ENGLAND

In recent years,  I began to watch YouTube
videos about gardening and found so
many interesting ones. It has inspired
me again this winter as I enjoy watching
so many of these.

I thought I would share some today.  One of the many beautiful homes dating to the 17th century is Barnsley House in Gloucestershire,  England (now a luxury hotel) and in the 1950's Rosemary Verey and her family moved there.  After she raised her children, she began creating the gardens that became so famous. Rosemary
lived from 1918 to 2001

about Haddon Hall

The next one to share is
Haddon Hall in Bakewell, Derbyshire
which is a English Manor House from the
11th century with additions in the 13th and 17th century (English Tudor) and after fires
in the past,  parts are still there from the 15th
century.

The gardens were created in the
early 1900's

called A Walk Through Time

This home has been in the
same family for over 900 years!

As you go to these sites you quickly see
that other vidoes are numerous and
I hope you have time to watch some.

ENJOYABLE AND RELAXING VIDEOS

I don't know if you know this already or
not but there are some amazing, relaxing
and fun videos on YouTube.  You
might check a few to see if you are
interested.  I especially enjoy them
in the winter when we are indoors
more:

Here is a series I enjoy.  You can subscribe
to any of these "channels" and see all
their videos:

There are others, similar and
yet different.

I enjoy different people
and styles. I often look
up Afternoon Tea videos
from London, etc.

STARTING OUT WITH LIMITATIONS

As I start typing this post, a flood

of memories comes over me of

places where my husband and I have

lived.  I remember them all.

I remember a tiny 2 bedroom furnished house we lived in back in 1968 in Mansfield, Ohio - $65.00 a month rent.  I don't have a photo or at least it's not conveniently located.  We will be married 53 years in 2021.

Our wedding was extremely modest since we did not have the blessing of my Mother and step Father.
Unfortunately
I wanted to marry a poor preacher or at least that was what she thought we would be.  I still remember holding up a cheap plastic orange juice pitcher at our wedding and being absolutely thrilled.

Lately, I have been sharing some videos
done by creative people that I
came across on YouTube.

There are so many to watch.  Some are wealthy women living in Chateaus in France and others are young women showing us their mansions in America.  Some are young women positioning themselves as experts.

I think I know which ones I like best.

It's the charming ones that burst with creativity, contentment and modesty.

In my search I found a young couple
that certainly won't impress you with their affluence or CEO jobs.
They don't live in a Chateau in France
but rather a tiny cottage in rural New York:
You can find them here:
