FALL TEA BY THE WINDOW for "Friends Sharing Tea"

I hope your week is going well and you are enjoying a wonderful fall!  I've poured
you a cup of tea and I have a muffin for
 you here by the window:

I hope you can sit a spell and chat.  Outside the leaves have pretty much dropped and need to be raked...
oh well!

Let's stay here where it is cozy and warm as temperatures are in the 50's today.  I am sharing a little Royal Worcester Game Series tea set pieces I have had for over 20 years.
I found it in Montgomery, Texas years ago.  This week I found 2 bread and butter plates to match at an antique mall for only $3.00 each!  I was so excited.

I really admire the blogs that are very soft and pastel.  I can tell you I have tried to be softer and love shabby chic.  It isn't working.
I don't know what happens but when it comes to fall I love to bring in some orange.

Some of you remember this
 owl I made last year:

Scarecrow lady guarding my front door:

  1. Hi Bernideen. Nice to see your fun owl again! And the wonderful game birds teapot. I love that! You have the perfect cozy corner for tea. Thanks for hosting!

  2. Hi Bernideen! This is so lovely! What a gorgeous spot to have tea and your floral arrangement is so pretty. Hope you're doing well.
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  3. Hi Bernideen,
You have such a lovely home and I love your tea set up in front of the window; very cozy! The oranges and reds in your floral arrangement are quite eye catching. I'm not really an orange person but your post is very attractive for Autumn. Love your teapot and I'm happy you found two matching plates. Thank you for sharing this with us and joining me for tea. Enjoy your week.

  4. Very inviting! Love that owl!

  5. I d love to share a muffin and a cup,of tea with you, Bernideen. Your indoor tea is so cheery and looks like it's almost outside being so near your window. I do remember your owl and I love him! I also adore your scarecrow lady. Did you make her, too? Your flower arrangement is so Fall-ish and spectacular. Thank you for hosting your lovely party.

  6. Oh, I love that teapot!...and the bittersweet just compliments it...and your floral arrangements, inside and out, are so lovely!

  7. Hi Bernideen,
We had the same idea this week! Yours is so Fallish! The Transferware is so lovely! Love the orange and brown and the bouquet is beautiful too! Thank you for visiting me and leaving such kind words! Thank you for hosting Tea Time today! Happy Fall! Karen

  8. fabulous tea especially the vases.

  9. I didn't think I cared for the bright fall colors, but the way you've used them here is simply beautiful!

  10. You made a nice bouquet Bernideen and I just love the teapot with the pheasants on it.
Thanks for hosting your tea gathering and also for linking to my party at Mosaic Monday.

  11. I completely agree with you - something about rusts and blacks and orange for Autumn feels RIGHT!

Your flowers are gorgeous, and I remember that adorable owl you made, too cute- looks like it could be a tea cozy!

Your "tea lady" scarecrow is to die for adorable! Thanks for hosting!!

  12. What a lovely room. And those flowers add so much cheer.

  13. Hello Bernadine. We are nearly neighbors. I live in a small town north of Greeley and east of Ft. Collins. I love you fall flower arrangements. And the owl is very sweet. I like owls. Nice. to meet you. I come by way of Mosaic Monday.

  14. I love your Fall table! From the beautiful teapot, to the owl and bittersweet! Just perfect! This is my favorite time of year, and I love all things Autumn!

  15. I actually know where Montgomery, Texas is! There used to be some pretty good antiquing there, though I haven't checked it out in awhile. My sister lives nearby in Magnolia, so maybe when we go to the Quilt Festival in Houston this week, we can check it out.
I love your teapot! It reminds me of Spode's Woodland.

  16. Wow, that flower arrangement is gorgeous! You took so many lovely shots of this week's tea party. I must admit, that I LOVED your scarecrow with her teapot necklace. That is such a clever idea :). Have a great week, and thanks for hosting!

  17. I am just like you. I try to go softer, then the color orange gets in the way. Nice to know there are others. Blessings, Martha

  18. Good morning! Settling in with a cuppa and ready to visit! You did a tremendous job with the photos. You really bring the reader right in and make them feel there are there. Your home is lovely and I know what you mean about the fall colours. Your flower arrangement is glorious and I love the dishes you used. I like pheasants. And have known a few personally I will not be so ill mannered as to discuss how delicious they taste. If we have to come in for the season, what a charming place for tea.

  19. Dear Bernideen,
keep on your color in autumn! Its lovely to see the bright colors in that time. Soft pastells and shabby white alone is for me to calm. Your mixture is perfect. I love the table and the birds view. Your home is really cosy. Thank you for sharing this lovely tea time. Have a Happy Halloween and bright moments!
    Best greetings, Johanna

  20. Hello Bernideen! Love your Fall tea - would delight in sharing with you! Love your owl and the darling scarecrow! I will be featuring your post in this week's A Return to Loveliness,
