GETTING ON WITH CHRISTMAS

Hello dear blogging friends and I hope you week is filled with the blessing of decorating for Christmas.
Work?  Yes, but so wonderful!  Always a work in progress too!

In the kitchen, the buffet has been one of my first projects and today for I am sharing 3 Christmas cups and saucers and also a 3 tiered Afternoon Tea Tray my husband recently made for me.  These two are Japanese of course.  I never collected the Japanese before but last year found these:

My husband has been making these Afternoon Tea Trays for my store and it has been a challenge learning how to do it!  It seems the transferware plates are the easiest to drill.  Some of you will remember the center plate which I shared last Christmas.

This Christmastime, I have the chromo lithograph on the wall over the buffet.  We found it at a flea market last year and I just love how it takes us away to a former era.

  1. Bernideen, your buffet is simply charming! I love your festive teacups, including the OCR ones hanging on the wall. The print over the buffet really does take you back to a simpler time. I love to think about those eras. Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong century. Your tiered tea stand is lovely. Thanks for hosting and joining me for tea. Have a wonderful week preparing for this loveliest of seasons.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  2. Hi Bernideen,
I just love your gorgeous Japanese pedestal Christmas teacups featured today. I only have one Christmas teacup and can never find any that I fancy. The greenery with your Old Country Rose teacups and plate is perfect for Christmas. Your sideboard always makes me swoon and I must tell you that it inspired me to paint mine at the cottage. Yours is so very beautiful! Happy December! Karen

  4. You decorate beautifully, Bernideen! I love the OCR plates on the rack, and the painting, as well as your teacups. Your buffet looks fantastic! I noticed your floor lamp in the post below - we have three "just" like it - EXCEPT our shade is not stained glass. Love yours!
Love the 3 tiered servers or curates that your hubby makes. If I were to visit your store, I'd buy one. :)
