My husband and I decided to take a drive today and visit an area where all the towns are referred to as the Boonslick area of Missouri. We only got to 2 of the towns.
The next few days I will be sharing some of this local history. Many years ago, Daniel
Boone's two sons had a business selling
the natural salt found in the area which is
why it is called the Boonslick.
Today I am sharing a lovely garden
in Blackwater, Missouri and to me
it was like a secret garden.
It was right in the middle of the little
main street between two buildings.
Isn't that just the sweetest garden? I always like going in it when visiting. Were any of the shops open? They are fun to look in but pricey! The Iron Horse Hotel is really neat and the restaurant is tasty!
