TEA IN GOD'S GARDEN OF BABY BREATHE for "Tea In The Garden"

Very near my home are fields full of wild baby's breathe.....many of the plants are huge - like 5 foot in diameter for just one plant.  Some people call this "fairy" baby's breathe. It seemed like a lovely place to set up a tea!  I hope you can stay for tea.

For as far as your eyes can see there are these
mounds of Baby's Breathe.  I don't know
how many acres there are but it just comes
up every year.  We live at about 7,000 people
but this area feels more like a prairie.

I drive past this every night on my
way home from work.

I have set up this table out in front of masses of these plants.  It was hard to choose a spot as there were so many areas.

It is still early enough in the morning for some hot tea!
Would you like one lump or two?  Lemon?  We can just sit here and share our dreams and you can tell me of your hobbies and passions and interests.

  1. Hi Bernideen,
Thank you so much for hosting "Tea in the Garden" today. Your featured posts are so pretty. I love your Tea in the Garden setting setting, needlepoint tablecloth, towel and birdhouse with the cross. The tea set is a beauty too! I hope that you have a wonderful week! Take care,

  2. What a lovely setting for tea! I adore baby's breath and your bird inspired tea fits perfectly! You find the most wonderful treasures on your hunts. That is one very big disadvantage about living here on PEI, there are not the finds one sees in the bigger centers. We do live in a charming spot however. Thank you for sharing and coming to tea. Enjoy the rest of your week.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  4. Hi Bernideen! Look at those mounds of baby's breath!! What a lovely spot for your tea today. I love all your thrifted items you bought. Isn't that tea towel darling? Your teapots you're using are both so pretty. I wish we could share tea and talk in your pretty spot.

  5. HI Bernideen, I was in RBG Kew a few days ago and saw the most wonderful baby's breath and vowed that I shall grow it in my garden too and here you have such beautiful examples. I'm in England now and my Tuesday is almost over but I'm so happy I got to read your post and link tonight. Do you have Photoshop? If you do there's a really easy remedy for bright day over exposure. It's duplicate the layer and multiply and voila...no more over exposure. :)

This is close to my house but not my yards- there are acres of wild baby's breathe. The rain was very welcomed as we rarely have that.
I featured your tea from last week!

  12. I will take a cup of plain green tea if you have it! How fun that would be! I love baby's breathe and didn't know it grew wild like that. I don't know how you have time to do this. I did have a friend over for tea last week and wanted to have it out in the pergola but it was too warm so we just sat at our kitchen table. Does that count as tea time! Thanks for all the pretty settings you post for me to enjoy! Nancy

  21. Bernideen, how fun to set your tea among beautiful babies breath. There use to be a place about a half an hour away from me that babies breath grew wild. People would go and harvest it. Haven't been there in years, but I heard that it's pretty much gone. You always set such a beautiful table! thanks for sharing with SYC.
    hugs,
    Jann
