THE DAY BEFORE AUTUMN for "Tea In The Garden"

I am so happy you could join me for "Tea In The Garden":

It is a lovely day to just take a few moments and enjoy a
cup of tea and one of these Cherry Puffs.  I have shared the recipe before HERE:

I do hope you are enjoying the lovely fall weather.  You best remember how quickly all these seasons pass and then whew - on to the next one!

I recently found this bargain priced throw with the peachy roses at the flea market in Fort Collins.  There is a street there which has a row of indoor flea markets that are great fun!

Another photo of my Missouri bittersweet.

My little tea set was made in China and produced for THT - also called Tenderheart Treasures.  That was probably made favorite company for tea wares when it was in existence.  We lived in the small town of Burlington, Iowa in the 1980's. Every time I'm out antiquing or flea marketing, I see picnic baskets from the Hawkeye Basket Company in Burlington, Iowa.  They must be all over the world!
Of course there are other brands that are very famous as well.

I hope you have a lovely week and
let's be sure and count our blessings!
I am thankful for all the blogging friends I connect with each week.

  1. I love your tea party. I was going to sit on my backporch today and enjoy the fall temps, but I had to do some painting. Tomorrow I will make a point to sip a cup of tea on the back porch and just enjoy the time.

  2. Your tea service is so pretty and perfect for Fall, Bernideen. Both of your crocheted throws are so pretty. I can't believe you found the one with the roses as a thrifted purchase. Yes please, I'd love to sample a cherry puff out in your lovely garden with a cup of tea. Thank you for hosting and enjoy your great Fall weather.

  3. I love your white chairs, Bernideen. I meant to paint mine white this summer but the weather just didn't allow me to. Hopefully I will get to them next year before we move because I doubt very much if our next place will be suitable for doing such things. I do like the bittersweet and your tea set is so pretty! It is a beautiful pattern for Fall. As always your posting is delightful. Thank you for sharing and hosting and also for joining me.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  23. Hi Bernideen, Your fall 'bittersweet' tea set is lovely. I liked Tender Heart Company too, and purchased several tea things from them. Your afghans remind me of my mother who made so many of them over the years. I have a picnic basket like yours that I purchased at an antique shop but didn't know its origins until reading your post. Happy Fall!

  25. Bernideen, you really know how to "do" autumn! I don't usually serve soup at my afternoon tea parties, but I thought this one might be nice on a chilly day. It's shown in a small bowl that holds 6 ounces, but it could also be served in teacups.
