MY FRIEND VISITING for my 100th "Tea In The Garden"

We have company this week as our long term
friends stopped by on their way to visit
family and friends because June 18th
will be their 50th wedding anniversary.
My husband was actually in their wedding.

Some of you might remember when I did
a photo shoot back in 2014
with Lou Ann in my Colorado garden.

My garden is up and running here but not filled in
which takes time.  This is a brand new garden
and not seasoned.
I have had fun finding gardening elements
at the various flea markets and antique malls.

This week we are taking a break from our work at home.

Well, this weekend it will hit 90 degrees so I would
 say summer is arriving now.
This is why I have been so focused on getting things
done outside.  I have been here over the years in June
and I remember the high 90's and 100 % humidity
and we are certainly not used to that!

Would you like to join me today for my 100th TEA IN THE GARDEN?  If so just link at the bottom.

I am also sharing at these parties:

  1. It so nice to have old friends stop by for a visit.

And yes you will be in for a treat for our humidity here in Columbia Missouri. This morning I noticed it when I watered my hydrangeas before leaving for work. I have a new one blooming first time and didn't want her to choke in the heat today. haah

Your new garden will be beautiful i'm sure

You've been wise to get the garden ready for summer before those temperatures hit! Its a beautiful space and going to only get lovelier as it matures!

Your friend looks so dear under her pretty crocheted parasol today and how nice to visit with old friends. I put parosols in my post too! Your garden with it's flowers and sweet birdhouses is looking beautiful and I do love that pink teapot that you have shared.

You are always so busy and I don't know how you manage to have two linky parties each week. I really admire your energy.

  6. What a lovely Tea in the Garden post, Bernideen! You have certainly created an oasis in the short time you have been there. Everything is just beautiful and how wonderful to have your friend join you for tea! I'm sure she is delighted with all your efforts there in your garden.

Here on the Island, we are still waiting for summer weather to begin. Our forecast predicts it will be below normal temps for the most of June which is very disappointing. We had a very short summer last year and I fear it's going to repeat itself. Canada is warm everywhere but here unfortunately. I don't have my flowers bought yet because it's been too cold and wet. I'm sorry my tea is not in the garden but I hope you will enjoy the post I've shared. I wanted to help you celebrate your big anniversary. Thank you for hosting and have a delightful weekend, my dear friend.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  16. Hi Bernideen. Congratulations on your 100th Tea In the Garden. It's been raining here all last week. I wanted to set up a tea outside but it was not possible. We had sunshine today and I had to mow grass.

Your blog is lovely, the flowers are pretty. I don't have foxglove, I must get some.
Thanks for hosting this great blog party.

  17. 100 garden teas wow, very nice congratulations, which I could get one in. Our weather has just been silly and windy so I can't seem to get much dipone at all in the garden. I no sooner get it cleaned up and the weather gets ugly. Ugh. Your photos are very nice and I love your teapot first one so pretty. Happy weekend with love Janice

Your friend's photos makes this occasion even more special. I always enjoy seeing the progress of your new garden. You've also got me hooked on birdhouses!
