FEBRUARY MEANS TIME FOR VIOLETS

As soon as Valentines Day
is over I begin to think
about violets!

We just got 3" of snow which isn't
really much but I will say Zero
degrees doesn't feel great on
the skin!  That's unusual for our
area of Missouri.

There are always things to do in the
winter:  sewing, baking or
crafting.  We don't mind staying in as
we re-watch a little of the
Downton Abbey series each day.

I have collected violet themed
items for years and mix it together
with my purple transferware:

I hope your winter is going
along well!

Hope your week is wonderful....

  1. I love your beautiful violet table setting...both in color and also with the violet teaware on the shelves and around your lovely dining room. I hadn't thought about putting out my violet tea settings now, but you have inspired me to do so. Yes, it's time to put away the red Valentine's items and make some changes. Thank you for this inspiration today! Hope your week is wonderful as well.

  2. I always enjoy seeing the square teapots. So different. And I am grateful we missed out on the snow. It stayed south of from Columbus down. Violets. I just love those wild ones. My African Violet is taking a break now but I saw a tiny bud yesterday.

  3. I love your violet tablescape! So many pretty pieces. I get excited when I see our first violets bloom. It reminds me of my teen years - going to the park with my best friend and picking violets. Nice memory.

  5. I brought out my violets right after Valentine’s Day, too, Bernideen. After all it’s our birth month flower and we need to use our pretty pieces. 💜
