I am so excited that May is finally here even though it snowed all day on Tuesday May 1st and our temps are still only in the 50's now!
We had a little painting slowdown while I was gone to Virginia for a week but we are now done with our antique oak kitchen table and four chairs.
I knew I would like seeing this piece white because I have always loved this 45" square table. We bought it many years ago at an antique mall in Conroe, Texas. This table offered no problems painting with it's center leg and 4 large curved legs. Again, we used the Vintage White Cece Caldwell chalk paint. I am glad to get this done because we have been eating on a card table in the den for weeks. Even the basket in the center of the table was painted with chalk paint!
Your Kitchen table is gorgeous o my...I just love it. Happy Tuesday..with love Janice

ReplyDeleteLove your white table and chairs, Bernideen, but then I knew I would. They look so fresh and the place mats are pretty too. Love your green teapot! Thank you for sharing all your transformations with us. I'm sure a few folks will be inspired to do some painting themselves.

I am just loving watching your home transformation! It is truly magical to me how a coat of white paint makes something look entirely different. Hope you'll be on some local home tour when all is said and done -- it would be a hit!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty change! You must be loving it. I have never regretted painting anything. After painting some trim and beams white in our dining room and entry way, the house just breathes!
ReplyDeleteHi Bernideen, Your house continues to look lovelier every week. The cups are beautiful; I love the strong green in them. Thank you again for hosting. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my, how pretty that looks. You really must be so proud how it all has turned out:-D XOXO
ReplyDeleteI am still enjoying my apron! Thanks!

ReplyDeleteYour table looks beautiful Bernideen! Lovely tablescape too. Thank you for hosting.

Very pretty! :)
ReplyDeleteYour table is lovely. I had a similar table years ago, but it was just too large for our little cottage. Once we knocked out a wall, I was sort of sorry we had sold it.
ReplyDeleteYour lovely table settings make me think I need to start serving lunch in the garden wo I can join your party.
Isn't that the way it works sometimes. I have gotten rid of things too and later had regrets. I decoupaged a tea tray back in the 70's with antique sheet music and pictures of Bach and Beethoven. It fit perfectly on a vintage luggage rack to form a coffee table. I sold it at a yard sale. I always wonder "who owns it?"
DeleteI am just waiting on warm weather for "Tea In the Garden" to begin!
Hi Bernideen,
ReplyDeleteYour "White Cottage" looks so fresh and inviting. Lovely tea setting on the square table and I love the look through the door on the tea setting in the living room. Don't you dream in the nights from painting white? But the results are dreamably. I am also waiting for tea in the garden, here and on your blog. Hope the summer will be long. Thank you for sharing and for hosting this sweet event.
Best greetings, Johanna

ReplyDeleteYour table looks amazing and I love your teapots!
Bernideen, Your table and chairs look fantastic. I love white furniture and white woodwork. Years ago I undertook the task of painting all of the woodwork in our home. It was quite a project! I've never been sorry I did it, though. Happy Tea Day!

Your table and chairs are very pretty in white, and a nice spot to share tea with friends. I am looking forward to Tea in the Garden and hope to join you this year. Linda
ReplyDeleteBernideen, I love it! All of the details popped beautifully. Hubby and I are heading to Heber in the morning to pick up a table I saw at a thrift store for $35. Going to paint it white for the downstairs farmhouse kitchen. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jann
