SHABBY CLOCK AND FLORAL

Our Victorian Wall Clock just
went Shabby Chic:

As many of you know, beginning a number of weeks ago, we decided to change things at our house where dark Victorian prevailed.  I am loving the transformation to lighter colors that seem more "cottage".

The clock was completely taken apart which was a little scary but it is working great!

I am also sharing this silk floral I did this week with stuff I had on hand.  I love these vintage flower baskets. I want to tell you
to be sure and pick up a copy of the June
issue of Romantic Homes - a special tea is included with the theme: Downton Abbey.

And lastly a little Victorian Marble Table my husband painted:

  1. I am lovin' your new lighter look! I have been painting all my dark stuff white and it has brightened up our home so much! Looks like I'm the first one to the party, so I'll come back later to visit some other posts...hugs, Penny

  2. Bernideen, you are very brave --- and it is paying off. I would have been so afraid to take the clock apart and paint it white! But it is just as lovely as lovely can be! And your vintage basket of silk flowers is so pretty. I love the transformation that is taking place at your house. You must be baking lots of sweet treats up in your kitchen to keep your husband moving on the painting projects! :D

  4. Thanks, Bernideen!
    Your clock turned out beautifully.
I just love the flower arrangement. I have a similar basket I was just looking at yesterday and brought out of storage to do something with. Love your bouquet so much I might have to get some silk flowers.

  5. I love your shabby white clock, Bernideen. Romantic/Shabby Cottage is my favourite decorating style and I've been trying incorporate it into my home for several years now. My living room is finished but I still have the dining table and chairs to do. I just haven't been up to it. Your floral basket is lovely too. Thanks for hosting and for joining me at my HOME. Happy Mother's Day weekend, my friend!

    Blessings,
    Sandi
