I would love to see that again but I'm not holding my breath. I am enjoying a "Watch The Birds" tea time this morning and I have a little tea vignette set up with my Blue Birds Teapot.
So grab a tea cup and pour yourself a cup of hot tea. Do you take cream or sugar or both?

My hubby and I enjoy teasing each other about having a bird feeder as we declare we are now like all the "old people" we used to make fun of who feed the birds:
I love the little topper below that I recently found for just a few dollars. It has an appliqued padded blue teapot on each of the 4 corners. I have folded under one side to fit the buffet.

ReplyDeleteWell, I guess Hubby and I are 'old folks' too *giggles* because we love feeding the birds and watching them. Actually we have been doing this for over twenty years. I've always been a critter lover. Not too fond of our squirrel these days though who won't share the feeder with my little feathered friends!

Hi Bernideen...how amazing you had an owl visit! Wonderful! We are old folks too, and have always loved the birds....especially hummingbirds which are so fascinating. Our cat loves birdwatching too...but he's an indoor cat, so it keeps him entertained. I love the bird finial on the teapot! Thanks for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

Oh lovely! I have always loved watching birds. I must have been born old! lol! When I was a little girl I got a little too close to a baby bird and received sharp pecks on my head for my efforts! I always get a thrill when an unusual bird visits our yard. The regulars keep us cheered with their songs too.

Yes - I am looking so forward to green and birds in the garden. I am in awe of your owl picture! What a moment you captured with him (so HUGE) looking down at the squirrel who is looking up at him! Hope our squirrel friend didn't get scooped up for dinner! Never knew owls to come into residential yards like that.

DeleteQuite a few years ago now - like 3-4 I had a large Red Fox come right over the privacy fence chasing the squirrels - another time a big fox and a little one - but not lately! That winter the red fox was running in our neighborhood a lot. He ate all the cats......................bad! But he never got the cat across the street!

Lucky you to at least be able to see your garden now. Mine is covered with about four feet of snow! And just heard March is going to be even colder then normal here! DeleteA topper is a smaller 36" square or other size or shape that just goes in the center of the table. Sometimes it can be layered over a tablecloth. Thanks for viisiting and I am always glad to have you link!

ReplyDeletewhat a photo shot is that owl looking at the sweet squirrel. And the squirrel looks really amazed about this visit which makes it impossible to reach to Bird seeds. I hope the squirrel was not catched by the owl. I can imagine that this owl in often in your yard. Don't you have big needletrees in your yard? And birds and squirrels are around there, nice chance for the owl. But in the daylight, this is really amazing. Anyway, I love all your animal photos and the owl looks for me very friendly. Nice addition in the Beatrix Potter garden. LOL
And your china with bird pattern is lovely. I really wish so dearly to have spring now. We are closer to spring than you but sometimes it comes back, this wonderful springtime! Have a wonderful week, tahnk you for teatime and hosting this sweet event.
