TEA FOR TWO for "Tea In The Garden"

I have been enjoying Queen Anne's Lace in my garden for 3 months now.  The main reason I still have it is that I have dead-headed it a lot.  For anyone that doesn't know, that means as soon as a head turns into seed (or even sooner) I cut the bloomed out stems off so the plants energy keeps going to the other blooms.

I have been collecting little thrift store tins in the garage to give the seeds away. You can put a lot of seeds in a small tin.  Others just go in sandwich ziplock bags.  I have really enjoyed my garden this summer and I hate to see time passing by but hopefully we have many lovely days ahead for fall.  I enjoy seeing all your lovely gardens in blog land too!

Today I am sharing my little "Tea For Two" musical teapot.  I have seen these on pinterest and etsy and stumbled across one recently.  It plays beautifully!

I was able to attend my second "A Paris Street Market" last Saturday in Denver, Colorado.  As you can see it was a beautiful day too and not 93 degrees like last month!

I picked up some linens in one booths that were very reasonable.  My runner on the little table was one of those.

I am loving our cool nights now going into the 50's.  Is your summer winding down?

If we go to Denver we make the most of the distance and hit as many places as possible and I happily found this little cream and sugar below at the Brass Armadillo.  You see that it matched my Arthur Woods teapot.  Since so many of these old English factories used the same decals you can mix and match brands.

  5. Bernideen, your Queen Anne's Lace looks so pretty and fresh. Ours here on the Island is just about gone for another year.
I am annoyed today because I had hoped to set up an outdoor tea in my back yard. Hubby was home to help me carry everything out but of course the winds are very high today, so no outdoor tea again. I really do detest wind! The weather is very warm but the winds won't allow us to even barbeque today. Anyway, enough venting!
Your little musical teapot is cute as a button and what a find the cream and sugar is! They match the teapot perfectly! What fun you must have thrifting in those big centers. Lovely posting and thanks for sharing it with us. Happy Labour Day!

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  7. A sweet tea table Bernideen an more new linens...good bargain hunting.
I have been dead heading quite a few of my QAL but there are so many and now that I know I'll likely have butterfly larvae on them, I have to be careful. So many insects love this plant, besides us.
    Thanks for joining Mosaic Monday.

  8. What a pretty, pretty post. Those windows at the market are just like the ones in my house I rehabbed. It was built in 1897 and those windows were original to the house. I have one of them that I carried with me-because it had been broken and replaced by another.

Hope you had a wonderful Labor Day- xo Diana

  9. That's what makes traveling fun is those little stops along the way and a treasure or two to bring home. The quilt on the bench is just lovely.

  10. Your beautiful Queen Anne's lace has me thinking I'll go out into the vacant lot and capture a few seeds for my own garden next year. I do love the airiness of the plant.
A musical teapot sounds like a lot of fun!

  11. I just love your musical teapot! I have never seen one before. It would be so fun to play it during tea time. The Paris Street Market sounds like the ideal place to find quality vintage items. Unfortunately we have very few vintage or thrift stores here. I tend to look on ebay or esty.
Good to know your weather is beautiful. We are currently having a heat wave. It's supposed to be 106 on Thursday! I'll be drinking iced tea that day.

  15. Hi Bernideen,
I absolutely adore the tea for two teapot. My girlfriend has a similar one and I have always admired it. Everything is so beautiful today - your other teapot, cream and sugar and teacups and of course your pretty linens. I am a little sad that summer is coming to an end. We have rain today and I am hoping the weather clears for my nephew's wedding this Saturday. I am very pleased that you are enjoying being at home - playing with your pretties and baking. Happy Tea Day and Thank you for hosting Tea in the Garden. Have a Wonderful week! Karen

  17. Oh everything is wonderful - the colors go together so well. I especially like the tea cup holder that hangs several cups at a time. Our summer is winding down too - but still some lovely days ahead.
