RIDING AROUND IN MISSOURI

Today we went for a ride and so I will
share a few photos of several little towns.
This first town which is just west of
Columbia, Missouri is Rocheport
 on the Missouri River
(population 209 on the sign).
It seems like it has as many bed and breakfast
places as houses from what we could see:

There is a winery and event center for weddings
called Les Bourgeois just before town.  It is
quite lovely.  This is just part of their vineyards.

Traveling north we went on to Glasgow which
was also an old tiny town of a little over 1000.
We stopped to have dessert at the Rolling Pin Bakery:

The very old and historic library in Glasgow:

  4. Fun, fun! Wish I was off so I could go riding around with you and Keith! I did a post on Glasgow a few years ago, you should look it up or I can send you the link. Were any of the antique stores open? Both towns are such charming little towns, love them!

  6. Bernideen, I love your tours of these charming little towns. I think most people don't quite know what to expect of Missouri, and I've had a few surprises since you moved there! Some of my ancestors were born in or lived for a time in Missouri, but I've never been there. Thanks to your tours, I feel as if I have.

  7. What a truly delightful show of travel pics, Bernideen! I have never really been out west - just to Wyoming but just stayed in Casper.....and many times flying over everything west to get to SoCal.

I think there is such charm showing in your pictures. Thank you for sharing!

    Hugs. ♥
