I saw a lovely recipe this week
on a friends site so I thought
it would be fun to bake it.
as it has 4 different things: the
batter for a 3 layer cake, the butter
cream icing, lemon curd and heavy
whipping cream.
this for a while before it was cut.
We had a lovely warm week but tomorrow
it will revert back to winter temps
for the day. How is your weather?
Who can wait that long to try fresh baked cake. It looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the recipe. And your tea table is so inviting.
A bit of warm weather up here the last 3 days. What a change. Had to clean
up all the wind blown branches over the yard.
You make the most wonderful things, dear Bernideen! I so wish I could join you at your pretty tea table.
ReplyDeleteWe had warmer weather this week, but it’s so windy and white sky. I’ve had to clean up branches every time I go outside. I want to be able to get out and plant some things to perk up my yard.
Happy Sunday!
What a pretty cake and I bet it's delicious.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the recipe. Just what I needed.
Happy Spring!
Thelma.
Mouthwatering! Best wishes. Great tea time.
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful tea time you shared. Your cake looks delicious. We had wonderful sunshine and warmer temperatures for Monday, today is cold, windy and little bits of snow. Colder temperatures for Wednesday; going back into the negative numbers. Looking forward to Spring/Summer.
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patty's Day a little early! That Lemon cake is over the top!!! It is beautiful and you are such a wonderful baker, I know it is mouth watering and beyond good! lol That is such a pretty tea cozy. I love the embroidery on everything! Have a wonderful week Bernideen! love you!
ReplyDeleteBernideen, your cake looks really good! I love lemon anything. I love that shamrock cup and saucer! A perfect combination of both food and china.
ReplyDeleteOur weather is very strange this year with ups and downs of cold and mild. I sincerely hope the snow is coming to an end shortly. I can see grass showing in certain areas of our property and it fills me with hope that winter is indeed coming to an end. Happy March!
Beautiful china and linens, such a yummy looking cake! Thanks for the lovely post. xo, V.
