  6. Great thought!! I would like to add pretty night gowns to that as my Mom always saved her "pretty" nightgowns that she got as gifts "in case she ever had to wear them in the hospital" . funny thing is that when she did go to the hospital, she was so sick that all she wore was a hospital gown and when she passed away, we ended up giving all her "pretty nightgowns " to the hospice unit where she died because they dressed their patients up every day to make them look beautiful!
    Hugs.

  8. Hi Bernideen,
I actually debated about using my good dinner set yesterday when I had company because I never put my gold trimmed china in the dishwasher and when you have many for dinner it is tempting to make life easier and choose the dishwasher ones.... but I thought the same as you and used my pretty china. Lol! Love your Royal Albert American Beauty. My mother had the whole dinner set. Happy Summer. Blessings! Karen

  9. This is so very true! Not only about dishes, but other things as well. There is no point in not using something and "saving" it.

  10. I so agree, Bernideen. If we have pretty dishes, we ought to use them. I remember my MIL had boxes of things she never used and when the time came that she no longer needed them, they all disappeared and no one seems to know what happened to them. Sipping tea or coffee from lovely china makes the experience that much more special. I love the American Beauty teacup! Thanks for sharing.

    Blessings,
    Sandi
