LAST PEONY CELEBRATION for "Tea In The Garden"

I have to admit that I am sad to see
the irises and now the peonies
going bye bye!  Some might remember this
area to the right as the former Koi pond.

Believe me, I don't miss the work.

I suddenly saw the weather report for
tomorrow which said temps were going
up so I thought I better get going on
another "Tea In The Garden" post
for this blog.

This week has been so busy.  Our son came
over and took out the giant 25 year old
pussywillow in our front yard.  It was
dying and had to go but we will miss
the privacy it created.

Our spring has been lovely and I know what
comes next - getting ready for heat for sure.

I have loved all the columbines
this year.

I grabbed a little of this and that
for my big bouquet.

I am very fond of Crown Dorset Teapots:

I hope you
have a
lovely spring
and
coming
summer!

  2. Oh, your garden is so very lovely! I love that you have so many flowers around you so you can have a natural bouquet everywhere you look. I love peonies and irises, but alas! They do not grow here in Florida. Apparently they need the colder weather of winter to help them along...and as you said, they are now dying in the hotter weather there. But they are so beautiful while they last! Your table setting is so perfect! Thank you for sharing it with us. It is truly lovely!!

  3. I'm always so impressed with the flowers you have. And this lovely tea in the garden. We too, are having a couple steamy days early this week. Then back to below normal. Nutty.

  4. What beautiful flowers and garden setting, your tea sets are stunning.
I've enjoyed the cooler spring days so far, but tomorrow all change. We need rain desperately.

  6. Beautiful! Often my peonies start to bloom, we get hot weather and they all bloom out at once and are done! This year though it's been cooler and rainy and the peonies are blooming out more slowly! So wonderful!
