BLIZZARD CONDITIONS FOR "Friends Sharing Tea"

Welcome to "Friends Sharing Tea"...........a weekly blog party  during the winter months and boy - is it ever winter TODAY!  We are having a blizzard which is why my post is late.  I use the computer at my store and we are opening late today.

This morning I baked the Christmas Cake again and I even plan to bake it one more time because I got an idea this morning of a way to make it even better!  It has carrots in it, spices and the usual cake ingredients. I am not posting the recipe today but will soon.

I hope these roses will cheer you, because outside:

Come January, I will be approaching four years of having this blog.  I have enjoyed communicating with so many of you through blogging.  I have to admit, I love my weekly spring and summer "Tea In The Garden" blog party more.  I do already miss my garden which makes me so happy! I know many of you feel the same way.

This English Teapot was made by Crownford which was a New York company that private labeled until they closed about 13 years ago. I am enjoying a lovely cup of Stash Chocolate Mint Oolong Tea.

Today's special holiday blog party comes at a very busy time of the year.  We are all busy wrapping packages, baking and running here and there.  Owning a retail gift shop - I know what busy is all about.  I have company coming this weekend  and I know that many of you look forward to time to be spent with family and friends.

I hope you will join me Friday for "Open House"!

SUNDAY CELEBRATION

Luke 2:1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.  vs 4:  And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David which is called Bethlehem...  vs 6:  And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.  vs 7:  And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

FLOWER DRYING RACK FOR "Open House"

Welcome to "Open House" where you are invited to link up something about your HOME, GARDEN, CRAFTING, SEWING, DIY, ANYTHING to do with your love of home!

I am sharing my drying rack today that hangs over my kitchen sink.  I have had it for many years and love seeing the flowers above!  If you live where it is humid - you may not get this vibrant color. It is very dry in Colorado.  I dried many flowers in Houston, Texas but they were never this colorful.

After a few years and a little dust - I just toss what looks tired!

I am also linking this post to some other blog parties: Simple and Sweet Friday and Rustic Restorations Weekend and HOME

I do hope you will share something with my "Open House" blog party below and please include a link back to my post on your blog post:

BREAKING FOR A CUP OF TEA

Last week was a busy time for me as I had a Holiday Tea Event at my store.  That means on Friday I bake all day starting early and ending late.   I have a strategy and a plan that is followed to the letter of the law.  By Tuesday I have the menu typed and printed and by Wednesday night the groceries are purchased.  I bake all day on Friday and finish up on Saturday morning...enough food for 75 people.  A reward for the customers who have supported my business through purchases.

I am so glad this is behind me now and time to show
off my new tea cozy and have a cup of tea!

Bev the "Queen of Tea Cozies" gave me this one below as a gift.  I had given her a number of vintage drapery fabrics to make cozies for my store (I pay her to do this of course) and I especially liked the green fabric.

I will be linking this post to:  A Delightsome Life's Return to Loveliness and also Tea Time Tuesday and Tuesday Cuppa Tea

And A LATE NOTE:
Since Beth asked about the food at my event:  I made 2 types of cheese logs from scratch, 2 bread bowl dips, Spinach Salad, Hot Pepper Peach Ham Biscuits, Little Smokies in Barbecue Sauce, 2 English Trifles, 2 Marmalade Loafs and  Thumbprint Cookies with Scottish Jam and 2 Cranapple Cranberry Crisp.

TEA WITH THE SNOWLADY for "Friends Sharing Tea"

What fun it is getting out the Christmas decorations and especially my beloved Snowlady.......even if we have no snow on the ground.  We have been having unseasonably warm weather and being warned that water restrictions may be back soon if we don't see a change..........we need snow!  If it just snows up in the mountains (and not down here) that will take care of the problem as we drink the snow melt.

The best I can do is invite the Snowlady
for tea and hope for the best!

She has set up her table next to tree which she can admire all the views......she has her own collection of cookbooks to peruse and select her next baking ideas......

Today is "Friends Sharing Tea" and if you are also a blogger, I hope you will join the fun by linking something from your blog about tea at the bottom of this post.  Will you please put a link back on your blog to this blog?

Welcome to Bernideen's Tea Time Blog!

Luke 1:26-28  And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.  And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

Vs 31: And behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

I will also be having a special blog party December 19th - maybe you would you like to come and share a special holiday recipe that you are making!
