Happy Memorial Day!

I WANT TO HONOR OUR MILITARY TODAY with a few floral yard photos....

Many things aren't blooming yet but at least we see the color green instead of the former BROWN....

Except the squirrels are still brown....lots of brown squirrels here:

I AM SO HAPPY THAT YOU HAVE JOINED ME FOR TEA IN THE GARDEN ON SATURDAY.....I thought we would take a few moments and relax in the garden....

I have set up a little table for tea and thought I would look up the meaning of a few of my flowers this morning.

Don't you love the Language of Flowers? I also am inspired to drop a few notes to friends and use my little notecards of teacups and teapots. Some little friends have joined me here in the garden as well!

We have been so anxious for warm weather.  Believe it or not, the ski slopes are open in Aspen this weekend because of the snow!

Please pour yourself a cup of  rose petal tea....

The smaller "reproduction" book is now out of print....I sold it years ago in my shop and always hoped they would reprint it.  I have spoken with several ladies who have an original one!

I have one lonely daffodil still blooming and a few tulips here and there....but these have almost passed....I hope you have a wonderful weekend filled with memories....

I have posted one day early but I am happy to have other blogging friends who are preparing a special post for you on Saturday ....PLEASE VISIT THEM:

Martha in England at Lines from Linderhof
Johanna in Germany at Silber + Rosen
Trish from Sweetology 101

If I haven't heard from you and you plan to post - please leave me a note to add you!

I also love participating in La Bella Vita

Last night it rained and hailed with thunder and lightening all night.  I was hoping to get out early and set up a celebration for Queen Victoria's Birthday....I so love the heritage and legacy of this lady!  Today is her birthday celebration so I have "borrowed" some photos from last year in the garden!  BY THE WAY- when we left home this morning it was hailing even more so I do hope my garden stands strong.

In the display are some of my set of Devonshire china - one day I will find a dear teapot to match!  Johnson Brother's produced the Devonshire Pattern which is very Victorian looking and I do love it!

of course - the food is fake so please do not eat it....

I often use my Victorian tipping teapot.....

Happy Birthday to you!  Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday Queen Victoria...Happy Birthday to you!

In the time of Queen Victoria - even the working class people were able to enjoy tea!  Victoria was of German descent and the Daughter of Prince Edward.

Today I am linking to A Delightsome Life  and  Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday

Welcome to the first "real time" Tea in the Garden on Saturday.....
and would you believe it snowed here yesterday!  I surely made a mistake in starting this so soon.  I know the rules but this year I have pushed things a bit.  Really, we aren't supposed to plant until after Memorial Day Weekend.  On Mother's Day many of you get your green light.  Here beside the mountains we still have cold and snow sometimes.....It is a cool day but I have set up a little tea table special for you in the garden.  It is cloudy and overcast outside so my photos are a little dark.

I love old vintage linens so I grabbed a few at random and took out a pansy teapot since the pansies are here!

And of course my Victorian Tipping Teapot for fun!

Welcome to Tea!

An old door greets you when you come into my Beatrix Potter Tea Garden and I have a new mouse in the garden....

I hope he didn't frighten you!

Some other dear blogging friends have made special posts this week for "Tea in the Garden on Saturday" so please visit them as well.  If someone was missed please let me know so I can add you!

Do help yourself to some lovely scones I baked for you!

Have a lovely weekend!  I heard this morning that it was snowing like crazy in Loveland, Colorado and Aspen has so much snow they will be open for skiing on Memorial Day Weekend.....just in case you want to ski.....or snowboard?
