PLEASE DO COME FOR A VISIT

Every now and then I will be sharing
changes in my booth at Midway
Antique Mall in Columbia, Mo:

I am located right along I-70
if you cross through the
center of Missouri going
east to west or the opposite.

With a booth (or stall) that is
only 8' wide by 13 ' deep - it is better not
to close in the center area.

I think my prices are very reasonable!

  We all have stories
of places we have been where
people just stuff those spaces too full!

As you can see I have some
lovely teapots and am selling
some I have had for years.
I just have too much myself.

Believe me - primitive is alive
and well in Missouri so my feminine
appeal is a bit of unchartered
territory.

SEEING THE POSSIBILITY

When I closed my Colorado shop
back in 2015 I had some designer
Costume jewelry left and I have been
looking for something I could put it in
that could have a lock on to sell it
at my Midway Antique Mall booth.

Recently at an auction I saw this old
1950's style china - ugly and weird but
with promise! (it was $ cheap) Sorry
I didn't get an earlier photo
before Keith removed the legs
and started painting it shabby chic.
The legs were very short so it wasn't
very tall.

As you can see, he sat it on top
and secured it to a little table with
sturdy legs.  It was very low to the
floor before.   The actual case is
narrow with 2 glass sliding doors
on the front and 5 glass shelves.

Do you have time to read my funny story?

My story goes like this:  while we were at this auction my husband got called into his part time "work" (he drives and picks up cars for a dealership and is one of those courtesy drivers like you've seen retirees do)  I really wanted this piece so I took him to work and went back just in time to get it.  But how was I going to load it all by myself with a bad knee?  I just had to do it that's how!  I got a dolly and loaded it as it was not heavy.  Right as I was figuring out how to get it in my car along came this "cowboy rough type" who is loud and aggressive.  He demanded that he help me and jumped up in our Honda to pull it in.  Of course the 2 glass front doors fell all the way into the case - of course they did!  Oh brother!  But the miracle was that they did not break - can you imagine?  An experience I shall never forget!

A few more photos:

So if you are traveling between St. Louis
and Kansas City on I-70 - stop at
Midway and check out my booth
which has Sweet Romance, Kenny Ma
 and
Michal Negrin costume jewelry.

A NEW VENTURE AT MIDWAY ANTIQUE MALL AND FLEA MARKET

After a year and a half of settling in
after moving from Colorado to
Missouri, the inevitable has happened and
we have rented an 8 x 11 stall
at Midway Antique Mall and Flea Market.
It has over 400 dealers and is right  beside
I-70 on the west side of Columbia.

Since I love to sew and craft,  I will
be making things for my booth to sell
there and of course my passion for
vintage English teatime wares will be
in abundance!  Of course I know
 this might not be everyone's
"cup of tea" and that won't hurt
 my feelings -
I will just shut it down!

This place is on a long road that winds up a hill with potholes everywhere and you wonder who the world would go here. You arrive at the top to find the parking lot with lots of cars and when you go inside people are paying for things - always a good sign!
I just thought I'd give you a sneak peak here!

Just because I love something is no guarantee that someone
else will - I sure know that!  This
was a little dresser I decoupaged:

The top of the dresser above - hopefully
someone will love it for their nursery!
