TABLE BOUQUETS

Today it was time to wash the linens from all
the tea tables.  I set all the bouquets on
the buffet and they looked "shareable".

Even a first year garden bloomed enough flowers that I didn't
have to go to the market to supplement!

Give someone a tiny bouquet - it's charming - see them smile!

These are simple "drop in" bouquets:

Someone might remember this bird vase I got
at the Lafayette, Colorado Flea Market:

The butterfly bushes are buzzing with activity
 today, along
with the cosmos!

PHOTOS OF MY TEA

Today was my first Afternoon Tea in my downstairs tea room.
I think everyone had a nice time and I had lots of
tea time goodies:  Lemon Cream Cheese Scones,
3 savories: A Cream Cheese olive - onion Pinwheel, A Cheddar Cheese Ham Scone Sandwich with Hot Pepper Peach and Little Cheese, tomato and spinach Quiches.  For sweets I had 3 of those: Raspberry Cheesecake Bars, Chocolate Peppermint Brownies and Pumpkin Cookies with walnuts, craisins and raisins.

Here are some photos:

You can see much of the food is gone below and my
messy kitchenette:

The little gal in the middle is my granddaughter Lily:

Some really nice ladies came:

GETTING READY FOR AFTERNOON TEA for "Friends Sharing Tea"

I am getting ready to have
my first tea downstairs this Sunday.
It will be fun. This will be my
first tea since we moved to Missouri
to live near our family.
 For everything to work -
I am doing a lot of organizing and
will be setting up a tea buffet.

I have tables and chairs to seat 31 ladies.
I am expecting 29 at the moment.

There is still lots of work to do but I
wanted to give you a peek of the room.
I will be
 baking all
day on Saturday!

I will serve both hot and cold tea
and water for those who don't want tea.

There will be 3 savories, 3 sweets and
scones with cream.  Of course
there will be iced tea and hot tea.

I will share the event photos later.
That is - if I remember to get my camera!

THE HARTSBURG, MISSOURI PUMPKIN FESTIVAL

This is a tiny town of 192 people with a gravel road going in....
except today when it
turned busy and the roads were very dusty!!

Loved taking the Grands to the Pumpkin Festival 2016:

My favorite building in the tiny town:

RAINY DAY TEA for "Friends Sharing Tea:

Although I think there will be plenty of opportunities yet for teas in the garden.  Yesterday when I did
this post it was a very rainy day for
which I am glad!

The leaves aren't really showing any sign of fall here today but that will happen soon.
Did I share our new fence with you ?  After the sides were done we decided to add the addition across the back instead of keeping it open.

Everything is quite wet outside but here
is how it looks from the left side looking
 over across to the right:

As you can see - the arbor had to be moved
as did some shrubs and bushes.

Last Sunday afternoon I was the "helper"
and my husband rebuilt the farmers cart
below.  All that was left after years
was were the wheels but he had wisely
drawn a diagram of the original wood design
so he could remember how to redo it.

We will go back in and enjoy our tea and
some of the "leftover" scones from those
I made yesterday for Bible Study.
We are downstairs in the tea room by the sliding glass doors.

I made 3 batches of these scones yesterday
so I think I finally have the recipe memorized:

The fish seem to be enjoying the rain today -

I hope you can join in my tea related blog party below:
