FORGET ME NOTS

Forget me nots.....

What says springtime more than forget me nots? Maybe violets and pansies do to!  And lilacs....and....

The beloved blue tiny flowers on this Japanese post World War II demitasse cup and saucer remind us of picnics, springtime and happy days!

I have forget me nots waiting to be planted right now - keeping warm in the kitchen trying to be patient!

When I was a little girl, these are the kind of teacups we collected.  You could buy them at the Woolworths Dime Store and many little girls collected them. I imagine many are in antique malls now waiting for some little girls to love them like we did!

  4. I don't recall seeing these sweet teacups at Woolworths either but then I didn't get to town very often when I was growing up. Hope the snow has made its way out to sea by now. Enjoy your day.

    Blessings,

  8. Forget me knots always remind me of Tasha Tudor. There is a picture of her walking through a large patch of them. It is so beautiful. I keep wanting to create that in my yard, but the teacup would be a nice substitute.

  9. Hey Bernideen!

I was at the Farmer's Market yesterday and I seen those flowers. They are gorgeous but I didn't know what they were called. I didn't get them because I didn't know where to put them.

Your tea cup is so pretty too!

    Have a Great Week!
