ONE MORE BOUQUET

Mr. Roger's was right - "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood"!
I went out this morning and managed to find enough flowers for a vase for my elderly neighbor:

We know that snow lies just weeks ahead so
finding enough flowers for this bouquet
is a treat.  An elderly neighbor who is
now homebound will enjoy them.

  4. Beautiful flowers, what a nice bouquet for a neighbor! And the vintage embellishments are wonderful! I appreciate the inspiration as I recently inherited some vintage linens, not all in tip top shape. So I'm gathering ideas for what I can do with them.

  6. You are a busy lady Bernideen, don't know where you find all the time. The stockings are sweet, and they, along with the owls will fly out of your shop.

Love searching the garden for a bouquet and finding it beautiful in spite of slim pickings. Your bouquet is just lovely.

  17. Hi Bernideen,
I often visit your site but have never left a comment. Today I am compelled to tell you I was sort of startled when I saw the stocking with the lattice-work crocheted doily. I crocheted one just like it over 40 years ago when I was still a teen. Later I did another one for my daughter ..
they take a lot of hours to complete. Tell me, is it hard to cut into something like that? Mine are still in perfect condition. Were yours not so much? Your stockings are so pretty .. my doilies are too. Would love to visit your shop and see all your gorgeous tea cups.

    1. Hi Judy:
If this is the stocking I am thinking of it was part of a runner I cut up. Making something beautiful that might be used again is wonderful versus the fact that so many people don't even use these old pieces. Also, many of them have holes, stains, etc and I can use the good part. Thanks for commenting.
