I know that in some places violets
can become a nuisance in the garden
but not here in my yard. I treasure
each one I
find!
I also treasure violet cups and saucers,
teapots and any other items I come across.
Even these little violet ashtrays.
Violets were a common theme for
cups and saucers in the 50's.
They could be purchased at what
was called the "dime store" as gifts
for loved ones who collected them.
Love the Violets. I think I might need to add some violet pieces to my collection for sure!

So pretty, Bernideen! We have lots of violets in the yard and garden. I have learned to only let a few of them stay; otherwise they'd take over the entire garden. They sure are pretty though. We have violet ones, white ones, and violet/white combinations - we used to have yellow ones too. A cute little flower that is edible. :)
ReplyDeleteYour violet teacups and teapot are lovely! They all look so beautiful on your painted shelves.
ReplyDeleteI love violets too. Yours has matching tea pots and cups.
ReplyDeleteHow awesome is that!
Hope you have a good weekend.
Blessings,
Aida
