While some of you have been getting slammed with winter snows, here in Colorado we have had unseasonably warm weather. It seems quite unusual and of course causing bulbs to pop up in the garden. Not good considering most of our snow arrives in March and April and do not like being out in the snow.
Inside we are all decorated
for Valentines Day.
For me, Valentines Day is all about whimsy.
Yesterday afternoon, I went antiquing and found this darling old Valentine postcard. There seem to be many out there and I couldn't resist this one.
Hello Bernideen,
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable Valentine Day Tea! I love your sweet heart inspired tea wares and the little angel watching over everything is simply darling! I wish I could have set the table I was planning but when you read my post you will know why I was forced to just do a simple table. Everything looks lovely here and I would love to sit and join you for tea. Have a beautiful day and you may send some of your unseasonably warm weather our way.
Blessings,
Sandi

Everything is so lovely ! I am especially taken with the teapot. Valentine's Day seems almost made for tea parties.
ReplyDeleteYour whole home compliments the colors of your table setting and the season, I'd love to share tea with you there.
It is unseasonably warm here too, in the 60's. Our flower bulbs are sprouting and I just hope we don't get a freeze or they'll die. Still, it is nice to sit on the porch and soak up the sunshine.
Hi Bernideen, I sure wish I could see my bulbs in the flower beds! We have so much snow and getting more tonight! Anyway, I love your Valentine tea. Your special set with the hearts all over it is so lovely and your little angel is so precious. Love the pic with the tulips in the background. Thank you for hosting and have a wonderful Valentine week!
ReplyDeleteNancy
Your comments about the bulbs and the the weather have me thinking of a favorite Robert Frost poem, where he is saying goodbye to his orchard until spring, "Good bye... and keep cold." for that very reason.
ReplyDeleteA lovely and whimsical setting that just lifts my spirits. Thank you for hosting. I'm so happy to take part.
I love your whimsical Valenine's Day tea table. The Hearts tea set is perfect for the holiday. Many valentines appear theis time of year but this one is so gorgeous with the darling couple. Hope you and your husband have a lovely day. Thanks for the wonderful comments on my table.

ReplyDeleteDear Bernideen,
ReplyDeleteEverything here is so lovely and heartwarming! We have had lots of snow here in Montreal, Canada, but not as much as some other places. Fortunately for myself I love the winter so it's all good.
:)
Bernideen, your settings are always so beautiful and perfectly charming!
ReplyDeleteYour tea table is just lovely for Valentine's Day. We're having warm weather too and my daffodils have bloomed.
