SHARING A PANSY BEAUTY

A couple weekends back we went on a buying trip and I found some wonderful cups and saucers at a really good price to sell at my shop.  After putting them out to sell, I immediately sold three because they were hand painted and really old and perfect.  I did keep this pansy one which is a  Paragon which as you know is stamped by appointment to the Queen.

It is hand painted and lovely.  I am not usually drawn to the style with the design in the cup but the moment I laid my eyes on this one - I was in love!

I am also sharing a couple little books I adore.  Aren't we ready for spring?

And a precious Victorian Valentine:

We are having some incredibly warm weather here in Colorado and the bulbs are popping out of the ground.  I am not sure how this is going to work if we still get some snow this spring which is what usually happens.   Even last year we had some snow in early May.

  1. Oh my, what a darling teacup, Bernideen! I can see why you fell in love with it. Such a pretty setting today. I know CO. is having beautiful weather because my son just flew there yesterday to give a talk at the university this week. We are dressed up like Eskimoes here while he could wear shorts there if he wanted to. Amazing to me the weather between the two places! Enjoy your weather and thank you for joining me for tea.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  23. What a gorgeous cup you shared, and I enjoyed all of the link ups that featured "Irish" cups with shamrocks on them. I recently unearthed a teacup that I had forgotten all about and hadn't seen in about a dozen or so years, so it's time for another teacup blog post.

  24. Bernideen, I wasn't familiar with Paragon. Always learn something here! Pansies are such a "happy" flower, this cup would be especially cheering during a long winter.
