A BOUQUET IN THE GARDEN for "Tea In The Garden"

Because of some very busy days, I am posting
"Tea In The Garden" a little late:

Today is a beautiful day in the garden and I decided to make a bouquet for my blog posting.  I hope you can pour yourself a little cup of tea.

I am sharing a couple of my teapots:  A Sadler and an Arthur Woods.  I am sorry to say the yellow teacup and saucer have a problem.  I failed to "test" that one first and the saucer rocks terribly so please be careful.  My husband showed me the problem this morning that the saucer isn't flat on the bottom.  I think I have made about every mistake possible when looking over teacups and over the years I have missed chips and cracks and more.

I recently found this 1999 garden book and think it is wonderful:

I hope your summer is going well.  I see the naughty squirrels have been eating my Clematis Blooms:

I have shared before that this summer I am closing my shop after 28 years.  Things have gone really well and we are winding down our GOOB Celebration (Going Out of Business).  We are excited to be approaching retirement.

  4. Your bouquet is beautiful and I love your yellow teacup even if it does have a wobbly saucer! Yes, those squirrels may be frisky and cute but they sure can cause havic in one's yard. You have set a charming tea, Bernideen, and I'm glad to hear your GOOB sale is going well. Thanks for hosting and have a lovely day.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  6. The Sadler teapots are so pretty and your yellow teacup rocks! (Sorry, I just couldn't resist!). I try to conduct a thorough examination of a vintage teacup, but I've also missed some flaws.

  11. The variety of flowers in your bouquet is amazing! I wish my garden produced half that amount of flowers. Your embroidered tablecloth is so sweet with its pink flowers. Such an inviting table for tea with your elegant floral teacups. Glad your GOOB has been successful. Thanks for hosting! Nora

  14. Bernideen! You are closing your store? No kidding? Oh my golly, that's a very big deal! I didn't know this. WOW. Well, retirement is awesome, to be sure.

I feel like hopping on a plane and visiting it before it's gone forever.

I wish you the very best, my sweet friend - good luck with all of what you have coming up! : - )

I am not joining you - haven't been able to post, life has been insanely busy and all I really want to do is have it not rain just once so I can get some nice summer pictures. Today is DAY 17 of rain. I am just sick of it and it has affected my mood, along with this dumb broken foot. UGH.

You know it's bad when ya don't even want to have teatime for oneself. My self pity is strong right now, so sorry about that. Hugs to you!!!! ♥

  17. Bernideen, so beautiful. Just looking at your photos gives me a wonderful serene feeling! My post today is of freezing pie-ready peaches, so instead I linked an older post about tea sandwiches.

  21. Hi Bernideen! Your tea in a garden was lovely last week! That bouquet--wow! It is so pastel-ly pretty and looks lovely with your collection of china--especially that yellow and gold teacup with the flowers!

  22. This particular setting looks very regal and yet serene to me. Maybe it's because of the white lace tablecloth, but I think this would be a perfect backdrop for a garden wedding!
