A CRINOLINE LADY AT THE PARIS STREET MARKET for "Tea In The Garden"



For years I have wanted to attend an outdoor artisan and vintage market know as "A Paris Street Market" in the Littleton area of Denver.



  Located in a lovely shopping area, this market is in it's 15th year.  I finally got to go Saturday because I am officially RETIRED!  On Friday I worked in my backyard all day and by the end of the day I ached all over.  I loved every minute of it!


I am sharing a little crinoline lady cookie jar (I guess a cookie jar?) that I found at the market.  Isn't she cute.  It was fun walking through the market although it was very hot.  I just checked later to see just how hot it was Saturday and I was right as it was 93 degrees in Denver (only 83 degrees in Colorado Springs at the same time). We don't have much humidity here but it was still very hot for me as I have worked in air conditioning for years.  








My husband and I promised each other that straw hats will now live permanently in the backseat of our car.  How in the world did we leave home without them?  We did find an umbrella in the car.  I guess we were more prepared for rain but the umbrella helped with the sun.





So welcome to "Tea In the Garden" and I hope you can join in the fun by sharing something tea related at the bottom from your blog.   Some of you remember I made this little seat cover last year.



Please pour yourself a lovely cup of tea. 
 Lately, I have been drinking lots of Yorkshire
 Gold iced tea.  Because of the caffeine,
I do have a cut off time of 2:00 pm.

I hope you are having a wonderful summer.  We had trouble over the weekend remembering what day it was.   As we were out on Saturday  we keep thinking it felt like Sunday afternoon and we would have to go to work the next day.
  Oh my, this will take some getting used to
 but I'm sure we can do it!

    Congratulations at long last, dear Bernideen, on your official retirement!!! How wonderful that you and your hubby were able to visit the fair and even forgot what day it was. You deserve to enjoy yourselves and putter around all you want.

    Well, my friend, Happy Retirement! Yes, it will take some getting used to I'm sure. I am looking forward to when my hubby retires. He gets several weeks off in the summertime and I am loving it! It's lovely to come and go as you please. No alarm clocks or heavy schedules of any kind. Your garden tea is so lovely. There is always so much charm to be found here.     I just love all your beautiful embroidered linens, so pretty! Everyone comments on the beautiful pillow I got from your shop in March, made with embroidered linens and doilies. I love it. Your tea time looks so lovely.

    Hi Bernideen,
    I had to laugh when you said that you didn't know what day it was because now that hubby and I are both retired we often have to ask each other that question. Keeping umbrellas in your car can be a life saver. We were at an outdoor wedding last weekend and hubby found 3 umbrellas in our car to share with the guests there. I absolutely love, love, love your pink crinoline lady. I have seen some but not with such pretty faces. Your outdoor tea time is very lovely today - that chintz teacup is indeed a beauty.     I love that crinolene lady, especially it´s a cookie jar as well. Your teatable in the garden is so romantic again and then you can enjoy as much and as long as you want, the world is wide open now you are retired.

    Congratulations on your retirement. Wishing you health and happiness in this new adventure. You tea in the garden is a feast for my eyes. I am enjoying all the garden tea especially this summer.
    We have been doing work in the bark yard for 3 YEARS now and I am looking forward to being done, and able to enjoy our yard again! Of course as we were breathing a sigh of relief and saying, "Just the landscaping and finishing the path to go," I said I thought the pond was going to look a little lost in the new landscape configuration .. so... more digging on the horizon so we can expand the pond!I guess we are gluttons for punishment.

    Congratulations on the retirement! It does take some getting use to, but still it is fun. Love, love, love the crinoline lady. The fair you attended would have been wonderful, I am sure. My husband was in Littleton just last week, but of course he wouldn't be looking for crinoline ladies. Sniff! Wishing I could have been there.
