Located in a lovely shopping area, this market is in it's 15th year. I finally got to go Saturday because I am officially RETIRED! On Friday I worked in my backyard all day and by the end of the day I ached all over. I loved every minute of it!
I am sharing a little crinoline lady cookie jar (I guess a cookie jar?) that I found at the market. Isn't she cute. It was fun walking through the market although it was very hot. I just checked later to see just how hot it was Saturday and I was right as it was 93 degrees in Denver (only 83 degrees in Colorado Springs at the same time). We don't have much humidity here but it was still very hot for me as I have worked in air conditioning for years.
So welcome to "Tea In the Garden" and I hope you can join in the fun by sharing something tea related at the bottom from your blog. Some of you remember I made this little seat cover last year.
Please pour yourself a lovely cup of tea.
Lately, I have been drinking lots of Yorkshire
Gold iced tea. Because of the caffeine,
I do have a cut off time of 2:00 pm.
Congratulations on your retirement, Bernideen!!! Now every day's the weekend for you!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the Paris street market has much to offer to treasure hunters. Your crinoline lady cookie container was a fabulous find!
Congratulations at long last, dear Bernideen, on your official retirement!!! How wonderful that you and your hubby were able to visit the fair and even forgot what day it was. You deserve to enjoy yourselves and putter around all you want.
ReplyDeleteI love your pretty lady cookie jar, and your seat cover is just gorgeous with all the different vintage pieces sewn on. Also, your header with the pretty pillows on the bench looks so romantic.
Thanks for hosting, Bernideen, and enjoy your week and the rest of your free days!! ((Big Hugs)) are sent to you!
Oh Bernideen! I am so excited for you! I know you will love your retirement! Looks like a wonderful place to me, and I love your finds! What a lovely summer post! Thanks so much for hosting, and linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

So glad you are enjoying retirement! This is a beautiful post.
ReplyDeleteWell, my friend, Happy Retirement! Yes, it will take some getting used to I'm sure. I am looking forward to when my hubby retires. He gets several weeks off in the summertime and I am loving it! It's lovely to come and go as you please. No alarm clocks or heavy schedules of any kind. Your garden tea is so lovely. There is always so much charm to be found here. The Crinoline Lady is really cute and I love the teapot and linens. Thank you for hosting and joining me for tea. Have a fabulous week.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
You have the most beautiful backyard garden. I love everything about it! The cute statues, the lovely flowers, and the lovely table setting for tea.
ReplyDeleteI just love all your beautiful embroidered linens, so pretty! Everyone comments on the beautiful pillow I got from your shop in March, made with embroidered linens and doilies. I love it. Your tea time looks so lovely.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your retirement Bernideen! I do hope you get to enjoy many things you've put off while running a shop.
Beautiful cookie jar and linens! Your tea table looks so lovely in your beautiful garden! So glad you are enjoying retirement. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteHi Bernideen,
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh when you said that you didn't know what day it was because now that hubby and I are both retired we often have to ask each other that question. Keeping umbrellas in your car can be a life saver. We were at an outdoor wedding last weekend and hubby found 3 umbrellas in our car to share with the guests there. I absolutely love, love, love your pink crinoline lady. I have seen some but not with such pretty faces. Your outdoor tea time is very lovely today - that chintz teacup is indeed a beauty. Thank you for hosting dear friend and I am so pleased that you are finally able to have some fun and visit flea markets. Happy Tea Day! Karen
This is just the beginning Bernideen, you'll have time now to visit all the places you've wanted to while working. The new crinoline lady is sweet and I'm sure she could hide some tasty biscuits under her skirt.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to Mosaic Monday.
I love your new crinoline lady cookie jar, and it is fun to see you getting to experience this next chapter in your life! How wonderful to get to do what you *want* to do after all those years of *having* to do. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYour post if filled with eye candy. I love Crinoline ladies. They are hard to find. Everything is beautiful. Have a great week. Blessings, Martha
ReplyDeleteWishing you a most happy retirement! How exciting. And what an exquisite cookie jar. Have not seen anything like it!

I love that crinolene lady, especially it´s a cookie jar as well. Your teatable in the garden is so romantic again and then you can enjoy as much and as long as you want, the world is wide open now you are retired.
ReplyDeleteHello, Happy Retirement to you! I retired back in December and I love it. Your cookie jar is adorable and I like your cute tea setting and linens. Your garden and statues are so cute. Have a happy week ahead!
ReplyDeleteYour little lady is lovely. It sounds like you have a good start on enjoying your retirement!
ReplyDeleteDear Bernideen,
ReplyDeleteCongratulation on your retirement. Now a new chapter of liev starts. I wish you lots of lovely moments. Now you can do all the wonderful things, you hadn't time for before your retirement. The cookie jar lady is enchanting. And it doen't wonder me, that you have the matching embroideries. Looks fantastic together. Have a great time. I will hopefully link in with a new post later.
Best greetings, Johanna
Congratulations on your retirement. Wishing you health and happiness in this new adventure. You tea in the garden is a feast for my eyes. I am enjoying all the garden tea especially this summer.
ReplyDeleteWe have been doing work in the bark yard for 3 YEARS now and I am looking forward to being done, and able to enjoy our yard again! Of course as we were breathing a sigh of relief and saying, "Just the landscaping and finishing the path to go," I said I thought the pond was going to look a little lost in the new landscape configuration .. so... more digging on the horizon so we can expand the pond!I guess we are gluttons for punishment.
Angels to you. Have a blessed week
Congratulations on your Retirement!!!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting for you. I love your lady cookie jar, it's so pretty! What a nice addition to your garden tea party, which is always so whimsy and beautiful by the way. And all the tea cups are gorgeous! I hope you pleasant things ahead as you enjoy your time of retirement.
Congratulations on the retirement! It does take some getting use to, but still it is fun. Love, love, love the crinoline lady. The fair you attended would have been wonderful, I am sure. My husband was in Littleton just last week, but of course he wouldn't be looking for crinoline ladies. Sniff! Wishing I could have been there.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures. Congratulations on your retirement. Now enjoy life. We only get one go around here on the earth :-)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Jocelyn
