We had some lovely rain last night
so the garden must be happier. I think the
flowers sure like rain better than
water from
water from
the hose!
Now that the Japanese Beetles are mostly gone,
I think the roses will start blooming again.
It's a long summer here in Missouri and it seems
odd to see fall displays and mums out for sale.
I have set a little tea time up so please
help yourself and have a cup of tea.
I am sharing some English Bone China
with the tiny rosebuds on it.
Next week I will be having a "Celebration of
Tasha Tudor's 102nd Birthday Anniversary".
Her birthday would be Monday, August 28th
but my party will be Wednesday. If you
don't know who Tasha Tudor was - this would
be a great time to learn about her and her
gardens, love of family and home!
Here is the logo for next week:
Please join me for my tea time blog party!

What a sweet tea time! I always enjoy seeing your pretty flowers. I used to have a teacup with tiny rosebuds, but I gifted it to a blogging friend. Thank you for hosting and enjoy the rest of the week!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful bouquet and setting. The bouquet is like a tree shading your tea table.
ReplyDeleteBernideen, your roses are so beautiful it makes me want to plant some and learn how to raise them. Just so lovely as is your rose teasetting.
ReplyDeleteBernideen, such a huge flower arrangement on such a tiny table would look crazy indoors, but against the backdrop of your garden it looks wonderful! Glad those pesky Japanese beetles are clearing off! I'll be back tomorrow with a new teatime treat. Thank you for hosting.

ReplyDeleteHi Bernideen,
ReplyDeleteYour rosebud teacups and teapot are so dainty and your large bouquet is gorgeous! I think I have an Alphabet Book by Tasha Tudor from when I taught kindergarten and will search my collection for it. Thank you for hosting tea time today! Karen

ReplyDeleteso pretty, Bernideen. I have been so lazy this summer, either hunkered down inside with the heat, or hiding from the rain. Hopefully milder days will improve my own posting.
