Welcome to National Afternoon
Tea Week and tea time celebrations:
Tea Week and tea time celebrations:
Today I noticed 3 ripe peaches on the
counter and decided to bake the Peach
Kuchen recipe I saw in the July/August
issue of Victoria.
After setting up my little tea time in the garden, a little bunny came by to
check things out:
It is quite hot out today, humid and
this little vignette will happen fast.
We will enjoy the Kuchen!
I hope you get a chance to celebrate
National Afternoon Tea Week.
I am sharing a photo collage from a
tea I had last Sunday for some new friends
down in my "underground" tea room:
This was my first experience at baking
some Gluten Free items for this tea
and I found it a good experience as
and I found it a good experience as
3 ladies were GF. These photos were at the end of course as like many I was so busy I forgot to grab my camera.
Hi Bernideen,
ReplyDeleteI am loving your beautiful tea! I am sure the ladies all enjoyed your 'underground tea'. I am going to have to try out the peach kuchen~it looks delicious!
Thank you for hosting.
Carolyn
I'm always disappointed not to have a lovely tea party post to add, so I've added my How I Hung Teacups post today. I love to come over and see how tea is served around other people's houses. It was nice seeing your downstairs tea room. Sounds sort of Downton Abbey-ish doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteHappy National Afternoon Tea Week, Bernideen. Your tea setting looks fabulous and so beautiful. That cake looks so delicious! Thanks for hosting!....Christine
ReplyDeleteYes please, Bernidden, I'd love a slice of your peach kuchen with my tea! Thank you for hosting your tea party in your pretty yard with your rabbits...both real, and in statue form.
ReplyDeleteBernideen, You have set a lovely garden tea. It must have been great to host a few ladies. I looks like fun. Enjoy National Afternoon Tea Week. I wished I could do more but this year it is not possible. Thanks for hosting. Sylvia D.
ReplyDeleteBernideen, that cake looks amazing! You've really settled so nicely into your new home, your tea room is lovely!

Your teapots and teacups are beautiful today. I want a cozy garden like yours. Thank you for hosting Tea in the Garden. Blessings, Karen
What a beautiful way to celebrate tea time week. Peaches are the tasty flavor for this beautiful summer cake. Your so fortunate to have a wonderful place to entertain friends! I'm so appreciative of this party and you hosting us. I hope you will pop over to my post of a Seashore tea time!
ReplyDeleteHave a grand week!
Pam
Your peach cake looks delicious. I wanted to do a tea in the garden but it is very windy here today so I did one on my tea wagon. Thanks for hosting. Thelma xo
ReplyDeleteHi Bernideen! How funny that the bunny came and stopped by the bunny statue! Cute photos! Even though I don't like rabbits in my garden! Pesty little things!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got to share your lovely tearoom with some new friends! Are they from your Church?
Talk to you soon!
Gina
I didn't manage afternoon tea today, unless the fact that it took all afternoon to get the photos uploaded and edited counts. But I did have some lovely tea with breakfast. Thank you for hosting this weekly get-together Bernideen!
ReplyDeleteThat peach kuchen really looks good. How nice to host a tea with some new friends!

What a fun tea party from all the ladies! Loved the pictures, recipes and different teas that were shared! Going to try some new teas in the fall--when our desert temps go down below 100!
ReplyDeleteBernideen, how I'd love to have tea with you in your underground tea room! Or be visited by a bunny in the garden. My post this week is a tutorial on making handmade pasta, so I'm linking to an older post of my favorite tea sandwich. Which I'll be making for an afternoon tea next week.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a crazy few days and I completely missed the Afternoon Tea party - marking my calendar now so I don't miss next year! Lovely post and so many great link-ups.
ReplyDeleteYour teasetting outside is so wonderful, love that rosy teapot and your peach cake must be delcious. It's real fun in your garden, your ornamental bunny is surely attractive to the wild bunny and on an other picture I even see a bunny with a squirrel.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice National Tea time week!
Absolutely beautiful tea, Bernideen! My apologies for taking so long to visit, my sweet little pooch became quite ill and ended up needing surgery, so it has been a tough few days. I hope you are enjoying the week, I love your china, it is beautiful and has an almost autumnal vibe. The cake looks delicious and so moist, too! Thank you for hosting your lovely party.
ReplyDeleteI alwyas enjoy your posts! I love the bunnies !! So cute, live ones too
ReplyDeleteThat peach kuchen looks totally delicious! I must run and find my magazine and find some good peaches. I just brought peaches home from California that were delicious, but we ate them very quickly and put one pie in the freezer for winter.
