CHRISTMAS STARTS AT THE KITCHEN TABLE

I always say the same thing on the
day after Thanksgiving.  "It was
such fun getting out the fall and
Thanksgiving decorations  but
here we go putting it away".

Christmas starts today with the kitchen
table and a tablecloth I made from
a toile bedcover by cutting it.

I've been up and down the steps to
the basement enough today so
I think I'll make myself a cup of tea.

As you can see, it is a rainy
day out and perfect for
a nice cup of hot tea!

Are you decorating yet?

  1. Such a beautiful table. I haven't started decorating yet. I will start sometime the first week of December. I love Christmas decorations and looking how everyone does their decor.

  2. A bit...and I have also been up and down stairs a number of times. I’ll just sit and join you for tea, if you don’t mind. I used my Friendly Village dishes yesterday and am glad that they are good for Christmas and the winter. Yours look wonderful!

  4. Oh, yes, I have started decorating. I love your red toile table cloth! Is there anything more perfect for Christmas than red toile? The FV china looks lovely sitting on it too. It still looks like early Autumn out your window with leaves on the trees. Looking out my window it looks like January. Brrr! Very cold too. Winter arrived early here this year. Have a wonderful weekend, Bernideen.

  7. I sure do miss a basement, Bernideen! I have everything in my garage, in bins, and on shelves that my beloved hubby put up for me. I have started my decorating, and I do love it when it's done. Your toile tablecloth looks beautiful on your table. Yes, a cup of tea sounds perfect! Happy weekend to you!

  9. I'm swooning over your Friendly Village transferwares. We celebrated (Canadian) Thanksgiving last month so my Christmas decor went up a few weeks ago.
