I have some more photos to share of
our tour Sunday in St. Louis
in the Lafayette Park area:
in the Lafayette Park area:
Here is one of the houses
on the tour and you can see
on the tour and you can see
the line of people waiting
to go inside:
to go inside:
I enjoyed seeing
many beautiful
chandeliers:
Quite a few of the larger homes
had their own carriage houses
behind them near lovely gardens:
And a few more of various
houses around:
So you get the "flavor" of this
area and I highly recommend
a visit here if you go to
St. Louis. Be sure and
see the Lafayette Park area.
Do you know who Lafayette was?
Wow how beautiful! I've only been to St. Louis a couple times but next visit will certainly want to tour this area. Looks very east coast! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteDoesn’t everyone know American history? 😉Don’t worry, I know the answer to THAT. Beautiful photos of this historic community and those gorgeous chandeliers. I really like the center one.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tour! We’ve never been on this one but have enjoyed the Soulard Christmas House Tour several times. Hope to visit Lafayette Square Tour one of these years. Thanks for sharing your lovely experience!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! Thanks for this lovely tour!
ReplyDeleteYou and your friends are so lucky to enjoy these wonderful events together, Bernideen. The homes on the tour are just so beautiful, and so well kept. I loved the architecture and the statuary.
ReplyDeleteBernideen, what beautiful homes! Wouldn't want to live in such a large house, but I do enjoy looking at wonderful old houses.
