With the July heat on I thought it was time
to set the dining room table with an "all
about roses" theme. We are in the 90 degree
range now everyday it seems and eager to
stay in where it is cool. I made a big bouquet
with garden flowers which is always fun.
from older damask fabric and also the
center cut work topper which is a favorite with
me! Someone made it long ago - but not me.
I got out all my rose type teapot and many
of those in the armoire were Crown Dorsets from England from
the 1990's era. The others were
various English brands.
Etsy but of course I am not eager to part
with these pieces yet....
different favorites and I do love roses.

Your new header looks so very pretty and fun with B. Potter's Peter Rabbit. I so enjoy seeing your settings and if there was one thing I had room for, it would be to have a dining table so very well set for any occasion. I will continue to enjoy seeing yours when you show it to us. I do have the imagination to think that I am going to walk in and set down at your table and enjoy the offerings. Happy Hot July!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful table settings...I do love the roses theme, and definitely love English china! You have so many beautiful pieces...I find myself wondering where do you store it all when not in use? Or do you keep them in a display cabinet of some type? And when it comes to selling different pieces, I know that has to be difficult to do. So much of what I have has been given to me as gifts over the years, and I have a hard time parting with any of it. Someday my kids will have to tackle that job most likely. Until then, I enjoy using it and looking at it! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. It is always a delight.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful bouquet for your table setting. It's always nice to see your lovely china and these rose themed ones are stunning. Stay cool and I hope your temps drop into the 80's to bring a little relief.
