AUTUMN AFTERNOON TEA MENU TEMPLATE

 I am sharing with you another

template and this one is

for your Autumn/Fall Afternoon

Tea Menu.  You can print it

out 2 per regular sized 8.5 x 11

paper on your printer.  Be sure

and save your original and type

your menu on the 2nd copy:

A FEW FRIENDS FOR AFTERNOON TEA

 I love baking for an Afternoon

Tea (there was a little cooking too)

and enjoying the time to chat

together in a relaxed slowdown.

I had shared my menu earlier which

was made up of the traditional 

Afternoon tea with 3 savories,

scones and 3 sweets.  I call that

3 + 3 + 1.  I also served soup

which was the Panera Bread Broccoli

Cheese knock off recipe.  It is so

good.  With the soup, I served the

savory scones with butter.

  I loved them - Zucchini

Cheddar Cheese Scones.

I had invited a couple other

ladies but work and doctor

appointments overshadowed

time.

My savory tart recipe was from a 

2017 issue of Victoria.   The tray above

holds food for 2 ladies and then

of course I ask them what they

would like to have more of

that I can bring.

GETTING READY FOR AFTERNOON TEA

 This week I am having an Afternoon

Tea for a few ladies from church.  I 

guess that makes this a 

"Church Ladies Tea".

I doubt if my bouquet on the porch

makes it until Thursday....

I decided to go with a roses theme:

I had just enough fabric left from a

Ralph Lauren Pillow Sham to make

a roses tea cozy for my big teapot.

Here is my revised menu for 

my Afternoon Tea:

As you already know, Afternoon

Tea is different than the expression

 "tea party" which could mean many

different things and maybe just desserts

and tea but rather consists of 3 savories,

 scones and 3 sweets which are all finger

sized foods.  I decided to go with a

savory scone and soup to start

with so this menu is the revised one.

DIGGORY DIGGORY DELVET Has Come for "Tea In The Garden"

July 28th was a celebration day

for Beatrix Potter's 157th birthday.

We have had a visitor here who  

went all out  to make her birthday

extra special and really, quite in

excess!   I haven't seen him today as he

is camera shy and hiding down under.

 Diggory Diggory Delvet

wanted to make a grand statement

all over our flower garden in celebration

of his artist friend.

Well, actually, I have stomped a lot

of his hand carved tunnels down around my flowers for fear my plants roots will

not get water and die.....especially

since it is so hot now.

Just in case you might not know, Diggory

was the mole featured in the poem 

written by Beatrix for "Appley Dapply

Nursery Rhymes" back in 1917.

"Diggory Diggory Delvet

A little old man in black velvet

He digs and he delves

You can see for yourselves

The mounds dug by Diggory Delvet."

Everyone on our street seems to

be having an invasion of moles.

This is not a pretty picture so let's

do get back to our tea in the garden.

We are excited that we might

get some rain tonight!

 I am sharing with you my new and gorgeous teapot I recently got on ebay for a fraction of  what it used  to sell for.  I love Crown Dorset teapots from the 1990's.  They are so sturdy and unique in shape.  I know this because I used to sell them in my shop in Old Colorado City (Colorado Springs, Colorado)and this one was at that time, the most expensive one I carried which I could not afford

myself.

We had temps lingering

around 100 degrees last week.

Today it is only in the 80's which

was my sign to get out and set

up my little tea vignette.  Please

help yourself to my Pecan & Peach
