A LILAC TEA IN THE GARDEN

Welcome to my first "Tea in the Garden" for the springtime.....

Colorado gardens run behind the rest of the country.....we still had snow a few weeks ago.  Just the same, I still couldn't resist going outdoors this morning and setting up a little "Tea and Toast" time in the garden.  It is a beautiful day in the neighborhood (as Mr. Rogers used to say).

We had somewhat of a mild winter we are hoping that we won't have watering restrictions like a few years ago.  You could only water your yard on certain assigned days of the week.  My lilacs aren't so great this year.  I see many yards where they are huge - but not ours.

I have a fondness for old embroidered linens and this lilac topper is a favorite to me!

A recent find (below) is this hand painted Limoges plate with berries.

The little silver plate toast rack was found on an antiquing venture many years ago.

I love perusing the older copies of Victoria Magazine and these May issues are delightful.  You will find a lot of inspiration and ideas here!

  5. Hi Bernideen,
you are the Pansy Queen for me. Not only the cute plant you have in the garden, your Chintz pattern is to die for. And all the wonderful linnens with handcrochet Pansies. I love to see them all. And the Limoge plate is beautiful to that. Thank you for sharing this garden delight and for hosting this sweet event.

  18. Love your table in the garden. Gives me ideas for mine. I live in Central Mass. and water restrictions in our town started today May 1. I can only water on Wednesday-Friday-Sunday. That's it. We had hardly any snow all winter after record snow in 2011. It's been a dry spring too. Crazy New England weather! Have a great day, Luanne
