I wondered if rain would be a problem today as another day of rain is expected here. I am so glad it was just overcast but not raining yet. The rain has been breaking my delphiniums off this week.
Can I pour you a cup of Mountain Huckleberry Tea?
This morning I was feeling a little melancholy as I thought about the lady who used to live behind me as I would have been taking this bouquet to her today. Ilona went to be with Jesus this spring at age 93. I believe she is looking down from above today and knows this would have been for her!
I have a fondness for these vintage Sadler teapots:
I also love vintage linens.
I am excited to see the first of the Queen's Anne's Lace begin to bloom - my favorite "weed"!
Hi Bernideen,
ReplyDeleteYou share the dreamiest outdoor teas. I'm sure Ilona is looking down with a smile at the gorgeous bouquet that would've been hers. Thank you for sharing all your pretties with us and for hosting your party. I'm sharing a special teacup today (*_*).
You are so sweet Bernideen. It is a lovely and heartfelt tribute to your neighbor. I am sure she is smiling from above. Truly delicate and beautiful. I love your tea pots too.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week,
Janet
Hi Bernideen,
ReplyDeleteYour "Tea in the Garden" is so very lovely today. The rosebuds on your china are delicate and pretty and I also share your love of Sadler teapots. Your flowers are beautiful and what a wonderful neighbour you would have been. I am sure that your friend valued your friendship. Thank you for hosting Tea Time. Hope the sun comes out in Colorado! Take care,
Karen
I always enjoy your shared antique lines and teapots Bernideen and remember seeing several bouquets that you put together for your late neighbour.
ReplyDeleteI sowed QA Lace in my butterfly garden last year and always think of your Beatrix Potter garden when I look at it.
Another lovely tea in the garden, Bernideen. I love your Sadler teapots too and your table covering is just lovely! If you read my post you will know I am taking a blogging break and I was waiting so I could get linked up to your party before I go. I did another Anne Tea and will leave my linky open till I get back. Thanks for joining me for tea and Happy Summer, my friend! By the time I get back, I should have lots of Queen Anne's Lace.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
What a lovely tea in your garden and a special floral reminder of your dear friend. I do love Sadler Teapots and have several.
ReplyDeleteI can well imagine that your friend has also picked a bouquet for you...
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful bouquet! Those linens are so beautiful with those pretty Sadler teapots! Thanks for hosting :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty tea time in the garden. I have a weakness for Sadler to teapots, but mostly resist. The bouquet is beautiful. Your delphiniums remind me of my 94 year old aunt to passed away in February. Oh did she love when I brought her flowers too, especially from the garden. I have delphiniums in the garden that she started with seeds. They are extra special to me.
ReplyDeleteI always look forward to your weekly teas! Your bouquet's are always so beautiful and now you can enjoy them for awhile! Thank you for hosting and have a great week! P.S. Love the white flowing tablecloth!
ReplyDeleteNancy

ReplyDeleteYour photos are so gorgeous. Such a colorful bouquet of flowers. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteAnother sadler teapot fan, I have a similar rose covered one . And that sheer overlay on the tablecloth is a lovely light touch that speaks of summer!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the beautiful bouquet - stunning! Your friend will have cherished each one you gave her.
So lovely Bernideen! Everything looks so fresh and inviting.
