ANOTHER FALL TEA IN THE GARDEN

The weather outside is simply gorgeous today and we are able to enjoy another fall Tea In The Garden:

This is one of the 3 tiered Afternoon
Tea Trays my husband recently made:

We have been enjoying a wonderful fall and many of the leaves have dropped in my front yard but in the backyard the cottonwood trees still have some green.

You will be surprised at the tea we are going to drink because it is actually Darvilles Christmas Tea we are tasting.  It was so good I poured myself a big mug full while I was taking pictures!

  1. I certainly love the tiered trays that your hubby made, Bernideen! It looks like we are drinking from the same teacup today. The Christmas tea sounds perfect. I love a spicy tea in the Fall and Winter months. Thank you for hosting your tea in the garden today.

  2. Hi Bermideen. So nice you've been able to have another tea outside! It's been pouring on and off here. Love your Calico teacups. They are popular this week! The afghans are great! I have several from my mother and grandmother that I treasure. Such lovely fall tables! Thanks for hosting, and linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

  3. Lucky you to still have tea outside, we've had grey skies and rain for a couple of days.
I just love the napkins with the crocheted edges and embroidered leaf, they go so well with your autumnal tea table.
Thank you for hosting your weekly tea gathering Bernideen.

  4. We have both been busy creating something lovely. I just finished painting an end table and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out and your tiered plates are so pretty!

How wonderful to be able to still have tea outdoors! Our weather has turned very cool and we have a considerable amount of rain and wind coming the next number of days. Such is the weather on PEI.
I really love the leaves strewn about your yard. I don't know why but ever since I was a little girl, I love seeing leaves all over the ground. It must spark some sort of pleasant memory that I can't recall just yet. Anyway, your tea table is charming as usual and I just love those Calico teacups. Burleigh has a pattern very similar to that. I really like your linens too. You find the prettiest linens on your outings. Thank you for hosting and joining me for tea.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  5. Teatime with you, dear Bernideen never fails to please.

It's cold and rainy here the last few days, so no tea outdoors, or indoors for that matter. I had two huge mugs of vry very strong dark coffee in the morning to remedy a poor night's sleep......so I felt it was enough caffeine for me today so I can sleep tonight.

Your teas outdoors are numbered, I'm afraid, but so glad you could share your petty gardenscape with us yet again before it goes to sleep for another season.

Just where does the time go, B?

  7. I love your fall tea! Isn't it a nice treat to be able to enjoy tea in the garden this late in the season! Your fall linens are so pretty including your new granny square throw. What a neat idea making tea trays out of plates. Yours are beautiful! I have an Old Mill sugar bowl I keep by the kitchen sink holding a dish scour pad. Love the pattern. Thanks for hosting and have a good week!

  10. Dear Bernideen,
your tired trays are wonderful because the plates go so well together. Those last warm and sunny days in autumn are gold worth. And like gold shine all the leaves and pumpkins in your garden. The perfect match to the wonderful tea table. Thank you for having me for tea, the Christmas tea was delicious. And thank you for hosting this wonderful party.
    Best greetings, Johanna

  11. Hi Bernideen, I'm so glad it wasn't too late to link up to your tea party. I love the tier cake stand. I would like to learn how to make it one day. When life isn't too busy.
I know this is unrelated but I'm just wondering how I could update your blog from the old one to the current one, on my side bar. Hope I'll work it out.
Thank you for hosting. Hope you are having a good week.

    Blessings,

  23. Ahhh, Bernideen,

How absolutely charming and bright for Fall! You must have ordered that perfect carpet of leaves strewn in your tableau.

You are one of the three or four GRAND MASTERS of the Tea Setting, and I so look forward to your artistic arrangements, especially the wonderful old family pieces, and the crochet and embroidery from the skilled hands of long-ago artists and homemakers and seamstresses.

  24. I seem to have cast my last comment into the wind.

Just wanted to chime in to say that this is absolutely charming---you must have ordered that scatter of perfect leaves as carpet for your bright setting.

You are one of the three or four GRAND MASTERS of the Tea setting, and I so look forward to seeing your creations, especially the work of long-ago hands---the knitting and crochet and beautifully sewn and stitched pieces which have outlived their creators, going on to bring delight to other generations.
