First "TEA IN THE GARDEN" for 2015

We had record breaking rain during May and June has been much the same.  It rained last Sunday leaving a soaking lawn that already needed mowing so I am just posting this today.  I was determined it should be "Tea In The Garden" as
 I usually start this up in May.



One thing has definitely changed:




You can see - the garden is very green.
  The plants are up and growing up just not a whole 
lot of blooming yet!





Today for "Tea In The Garden" I have set up a little table and decided to go with colors which match the old quilt on the bench.
  Please pour yourself a cup of tea.


 Some of you will recognize the yellow Sophie Chintz teapot by Sadler.  I sold these at my shop about 13-15 years ago but I never kept one which I later regretted.  Sunday afternoon I found one for $20.00 at an antique mall.  I was thrilled as that was much less than I usually see them priced.




I am so excited that soon (after my shop is closed later this summer) I am really going to have the time I need for blogging and so many things that I love.
Late note:
I later sold that Sophie Chintz teapot
as sometimes is the case!

    Hi Bernideen...so glad you are back to the garden for tea! I love the teapot and teacups linens. So cute! I used to sell the Sophie Chintz and didn't save one either! So glad you found one.     I just love your garden and you have set such a pretty and welcoming tea in that lush space. It is truly a little piece of heaven. I would love to join you for tea in that serene setting.

    That romantic teatable in your lush and green garden looks wonderful. So nice to have the grandchildren to stay and making trips with them. I always love it. I can imagine you are looking forward to the time your shop is closed. There are so many things we can do to enjoy ourselves.

    Ooh Bernideen, I LOVE it when you have tea in your garden and I'd love to pour a cup of tea from your new Sadler teapot. Your quilt and linens are sooo beautiful and so are you teacups. You must've made that pretty flower arrangement for us to enjoy. How fun to have your adorable grandchildren to visit you!!     Hi Bernideen! I'm glad you finally got out into the garden--and it is looking very pretty, so lush and green. The Sadler teapot really is stunning, and looks so nice with the blue in the linens. It sounds like you had a good time with your grandchildren! The picture is great--I really like how your granddaughter is in the trunk!

    I admired your tea table on FB Bernideen but thought I better get over for a visit here as well. I love the teapot, I've been looking for a similar one since I didn't order the yellow chintz one sold in the back of Victoria magazine years ago. $20 is a fabulous price!
    It has been cool and windy with a tornado watch all afternoon yet I'm sure tea will resume in my garden soon as well.

    What a beautiful spot for tea! Everything looks so green, unusual for Colorado, I know. That yellow chintz teapot is beautiful, and I love the embroidered napkins.
    I'm happy for you that you will have more time to enjoy tea breaks and blogging. People will miss your beautiful shop, though. I'm glad I got to see it before you closed.

    your tea in the garden is just lovely. We have had a late season here as well. For us it is because our winter was so brutal it took quite a while for all the snow to melt.
