As you can see you hardly would know it had a big piece missing all along the upper right rim of the teapot. I thought she did a wonderful job. Please pour yourself some tea and enjoy one of the cinnamon rolls.
I am also letting you know that I hope to begin "Tea In The Garden" by next week. This week it is finally warm here in Colorado Springs. We set a new record for rainfall in Colorado as it rained at least 25+ days. That meant there is lots of snow on top of Pikes Peak. I hope by next week the garden will bloom for our blog party.
I am also sharing a wonderful book (now produced by Benjamin Press). This is an older copy so expect a different looking cover on a new one. There are lots of tea party ideas for children in this book by Dawn Hylton Gottlier and Diane Sedo.

Hello Bernideen,
ReplyDeleteHappy June! I'm sure your garden will be in bloom by next week. It's been quite cool here lately and I can't wait for the warm weather to return. Marilyn did a fabulous job mending your teapot! One would never know it had taken a tumble. Those cinnamon buns look wonderful and all those little figurines look so cute standing in the teacups. A charming tea table as always! Thank you for joining me for tea and enjoy your lovely weather.
Blessings,
Sandi
I know you're thankful that your beautiful teapot is fixed, and what an excellent job Marilyn did. I'd love to share a cup of tea and a cinnamon roll with you, Bernideen.
ReplyDeleteWe had record rainfall in Texas for the month of May, also. We are enjoying sunny skies now, though. Thank you for hosting your lovely party.

ReplyDeleteHi Bernideen,
ReplyDeleteGlad you are finally experiencing a bit of spring. I'm looking forward to your upcoming "Tea in the Garden" posts. Good news that your teapot was repaired. All of our teawares are so delicate. I've always wanted to do an Alice in Wonderland themed tea. I like the characters in your cups and the book recommendation.

ReplyDeleteI thought of you today Bernideen when I was in the Royal Doulton store and saw a good sized bunny mug. I've looked very closely at your repaired teapot and cannot see anything - how lucky to have it whole again.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day and thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday.
I love your Alice in Wonderland teapot and dishes. You were lucky you had Marilyn, as I a friend of hubby's who is so good at mending porcelain, because I just recently had a little accident and broke the feet of my Meissen 1900's two tier server and hubby would have killed me, we kept it a secret, lol!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely party dear Bernideen.

ReplyDeleteHi Bernideen! I'm so glad you found someone to fix your teapot! It is a cutie, and this post is terrific! I actually found that book in my local library a couple of years ago and really enjoyed looking through it. I'm looking forward to seeing your garden again soon!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty teapot, glad it's fixed.....Christine
ReplyDeleteBernideen, so glad you could get your teapot repaired so beautifully! It would have been a sad loss, I'm sure. Glad, too, your weather is warming up. I'll be getting the back garden shaped up next week in preparation for the season's first tea party in the gazebo. I'm going to use today's recipe link, cutting the chicken and everything finer and putting it in either puff pastry cups or little cream puffs.
