Hello blogging friends!
Today I am sharing a seating area just
off the kitchen with a gas fireplace which I am calling
my Victorian Parlor.
my Victorian Parlor.
The old telephone
chest is where I keep my teas:
chest is where I keep my teas:
In between the 2 areas is my armoire with
the fall transferware still out. I will
be happy to see Thanksgiving finally
come next week and then decorate
for the Christmastime!
as we are getting
a new roof on our house and we have
company for the weekend. It is
bang, bang and more bang all day!
I hope you can join me for my party below.
I am sharing at these parties:
Tuesday Cuppa Tea
Home Sweet Home
Goodmorning Bernideen! I love how you change things up all the time, my cabinets and shelves pretty much stay the same. I know...borring! I really like your brown peacock transferware teapot.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Gina
With all the banging going on up on your roof, we'd better go out for tea. I really like your HARVEST banner.
ReplyDeleteBernideen, I love your Victorian Parlor! I thought of you yesterday when I gave a small afternoon tea party (at which I served the fruit cake I've linked today). I'll be posting about that next week. I feel for you getting a new roof; that was a rather unnerving experience for me!
ReplyDeleteBernideen, what a lovely spot! A great place of a cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteHi Bernideen,
ReplyDeleteI have put all of my fallish decor away now and am just starting to bring out some Christmas things. I have not been linking to many parties except for yours now. Babysitting and life has been keeping me busy too. It sounds like you are really busy too. I do love your gorgeous home and we do have such similar taste in furniture. Your little cabinets are very dear and I am always looking for a new one to store my pretties. Have a Wonderful Weekend! Karen
I always love seeing your beautiful home and your parlor for tea, dear Bernideen. I'm actually not ready to leave Fall behind, as its my favorite time of the year, but the days, weeks, months move on so quickly, don't they? Also, your visit with Gina and Janice at the tea room must've been a fun time. Thanks for hosting and Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteYes, getting ready for the Christmas things to come out for sure. Love your Victorian Parlour.
ReplyDeleteI love your tea cabinet, Bernideen! I started putting up my Christmas decorations last week. The weather has been unseasonably warm so I haven't even used my gas fireplace yet! Thank you for hosting and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteNothing like all the banging and hammering and pounding to make you want to escape. How about TENSION TAMER TEA? Do you think that might help? lol
ReplyDeleteI really love your sweet room, Bernideen. It is just absolutely lovely and I can see you sitting there enjoying a cup of your tea. xo Diana
I love all your fall transfer wares and especially the cookie tier tray. You need to do a post with just that. And the mantel is lovely. I could live with that everyday of the year, thanks for all the pretty ideas. And I am almost at the point of finding my tea things, soon, I promise, Sandi
ReplyDeleteI wish I could come and see your tea room in person Bernideen, you've done a wonderful job of making it cozy and functional. My Christmas decor is out except the tree for as you know we had our Thanksgiving way last month.
ReplyDeleteBernideen, sorry I'm late linking up. I wasn't feeling well yesterday but better today. Your home is so very cozy and warm. I love your pillows and all the antiques. I too would love to see your tea room in person. Wouldn't that be fun if all we tea ladies could gather together in your tea room? Enjoy your weekend and Happy Thanksgiving this coming week!
ReplyDeleteBlessings & hugs from PEI,
Sandi
No tea for me, but love looking at your party and all the other entries.
ReplyDeleteEverything is looking lovely Bernideen! It's amazing how soon Thanksgiving has come and Christmas is indeed not far behind. I love all the transferware...it is so homey for fall. You've done a marvelous job decorating! Thanks for hosting!

Bernideen, I visited all the links but was unable to comment on two of them. I think a lot of bloggers who have the Google+ commenting system don't realize that it is not commenter-friendly. Only those who are on Google+ themselves are able to comment, so the blogger misses out on an awful lot of comments. But if Lynn and Thelma see this, I loved their lemon pound cake and autumn tablescape.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely corner. Nice to see all your treasures displayed.
