Yesterday was a lovely day -
nice and warm at 70 degrees!

We best not expect it to last though!
Last night it was as if the sky was falling
with hail everywhere in the middle of the night.

cranberry
and raisin oatmeal cookies
I baked this afternoon. If you
want the recipe follow the link.
Just add
1 cup of craisins too!
Yesterday I was down in my sewing room

Do you still iron?
I have my first 5 flats planted with
seeds. I have everything to do 10
more flats. Now that I am retired this
is the way to go!
As always Bernadeen, you make me wish for an invite to sit down and share a cup with you. I love to iron but need to buy a new ironing board. I think there's nothing better than fresh, newly ironed pillowcases.

ReplyDeleteOh yes I still iron, besides some cotton blouses I iron my vintage linens, which makes me think I need to laundry some and iron again since they haven't been used for couple years.
As always your sweet tea table is charming and I want some of those cookies now with my tea.
I haven't gotten my seed trays planted yet
Pretty setting and teacups! The start of the garden looks great. xoxo Su
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful post!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful collection of linens you have, Bernideen. Your china is lovely too and your cookies sound wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThat hail you had last night was probably from the remnants of tornado activity. I heard there was bad weather in parts of both MO and IL. We have a weather man in the family who really keeps a close eye on the weather. Sounds very spring-like where you live. The snow is melting here but we're sure to get more yet. Counting down the days!
Blessings,
Sandi
It has been 70 and now its in the 30's again. The chill is so much more bitter when you have tasted the warmth! Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tea to welcome March! I need to do some spring cleaning too. For Lent this year, I may try the challenge of "Get rid of 40 things in 40 days." Thank you for hosting and have a great week, Bernideen! Now I'm off to find item #1 for today...
ReplyDeleteI love ironing tablecloths and napkins and pillowcases. Some people think I am crazy, but they are so beautiful when freshly ironed. That teacup with the blue is gorgeous. Even though I don't buy teacups usually, I would buy that one.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you growing in your flats? Annuals? Herbs? I wish that I had a good window for attempting this myself. I did check out the cookies...they sound yummy. If I had any energy, I'd make some right now. I heard about that nasty weather. You all be alert down there...
ReplyDeleteOh, I like to iron my linens and mine have been collecting for a while as well.
How I would love to join you for tea at your pretty table in your lovely tea room, Bernideen. You have the prettiest linens that I've ever seen! Thank you so much for hosting your tea party each week. Good luck with all your seedlings.
ReplyDeleteHi Bernideen! Such a sweet teatime at the small table! Your teacups look lovely on the stand, so glad I found one! :) Can't decide which teacup to pick, maybe one of the Chintz ones. I need to get started on my flats. Talk to you soon!

Dear Bernideen, you have been very busy. We have been fighting 'fires' here, and can't wait until the messes subside. Thank-you for hosting, this is still my favorite read. Sandi
ReplyDeleteWhat a busy girl you are....we worked last week in the cleaning the front gardens..but it gotten cooler again. We even had snow yesterday. Wishing you luck with your seeds...for them to sprout them must remain most and love humidity. A sweet teatime table....
ReplyDeleteBernideen, I love your napkin collection! Now, that is something I'm willing to iron! But clothes that need ironing, nice blouses, husband's dress shirts, that stuff goes to the cleaners. The plate my cake slice is on is part of a trio. I have it in yellow as well. And this cake goes so well with a nice cup of black tea!
ReplyDeleteSurely it's not time for spring cleaning, yet, is it??
ReplyDeleteWhat I would give to have en entire afternoon to just sift through your incredible collections, Bernideen. Just wow. Everytime you share with us I am just so impressed with how many pretty things you have.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting the party! Sorry I am late but I had three different days with friends over this week. Busy, busy, busy! Hugs!
Bernideen, I just saw your Etsy button. You have sales! Good for you. I will check it regularly when I check the blog. Have a great day! Sylvia D.
