Yesterday my husband and I went to
an auction and I found a wonderful
book to share so first I made a
bouquet with some of the last flowers
of the warm season.
I am sure you might be familiar with
Carolyne Roehm's books which came
out in 1999-2000 and cover many
decorating and creative ideas for each
of the 4 different seasons. I got a boxed
set of all four for just a couple dollars so it
will be fun to enjoy them. Shall
we have a cup of tea on the patio?
It's a safe place here under the deck
because
the walnuts are dropping constantly.
Also, I always love to see what
art work Edith Holden did to
represent each month.
Next week will bring October:
I think I already shared this birdbath
I got
this summer at an estate sale.
Here in Missouri it will still be
warm for quite a while so I
will try to have as many of my
Wednesday tea blog parties in the
garden as possible. That doesn't
work for everyone though - I know that
so anywhere you have a tea
vignette will
work of course!

Gorgeous bouquet!!! Love the books and sitting with you right there for a cup of tea. Thanks! I need to have a garden tea soon. I have one percolating in my head.
ReplyDeleteYou always set the prettiest outdoor tea, Bernideen. Our backyard is so messed up right now cause my big shade tree fell on our pool cage destroying it and we can’t even go out the door because the door is leaning forward holding part of the enclosure roof. Anyway, thanks for hosting.... Christine
ReplyDeleteHello Bernideen,
ReplyDeleteYour books sound lovely and filled with wonderful art and ideas, I'm sure. I think our warm weather is coming to an end although we're hoping for an Indian Summer yet. Love the bird bath and your pretty tea things! Thank you for having us.
Hugs,
Sandi
I love your Autumn tea in the garden with Mr. Owl, Bernideen! Did you make him?? Your birdbath is so pretty, as is your bouquet on your table. I wish I could join you, as you have two teacups ready and waiting. We could look at your new books as we sipped our tea. Thank you so much for hosting and sharing with us.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely bouquet and charming lace owl. We've had unusually warm summer temperatures here. It feels weird to be wearing summer clothes/shoes in late September. I'm looking forward to the cooler temperatures. Thank you for hosting!
ReplyDeleteLucky you to be able to continue to take tea outside for a while yet. We got to the mid-60s today and it will be in the 40s tonight.
ReplyDeleteYour tea "party" is as beautiful as always. I always feel a sense of contentment visiting here. xo Diana

Sadly my tea is not photo-worthy, but I do love coming here and viewing all the others who participate. Thanks for creating and running this pretty party.

Bernideen, I love your under-the-deck tea spot! Today I'm bringing something for autumn - my pumpkin teacakes.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning, Bernideen. I know I don't visit as often as I should, but I like to check in every once in awhile to see how your beautiful garden is doing. Beautiful basket of flowers. I think I will have to order that book as the garden illustrations are spectacular..Happy Thursday..Judy
ReplyDeleteLucky you to find the beautiful collection of books! The garden setting is so lovely and the brown transferware cups and saucers are perfect for fall. The fall owl decoration is very cute and my favorite. Hope you have a great week.

Oh Bernideen, I love that bouquet of flowers. It's just beautiful! We are looking at doing some work in our backyard and if I thought I could ever have flowers like that I'd think I'd died and gone to heaven! xo Deborah
ReplyDeleteBernideen, your flower basket turned out gorgeous! A fall tea is always delightful. Great score on the books. I too have to look at the artwork of Edith Holden each month. Thanks for sharing with SYC. I am starting late, but you will be featured this week.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
